April Auto Sales: Can Anything Stop Subaru?

For the past twenty-eight months, Subaru has experienced continuous year-over-year growth, and April marks month number twenty-nine. Sales for the year stand at 152,471 vehicles, an increase of 21.5 percent when compared to the same time last year. To achieve this, Subaru moved 40,083 vehicles in the month. Not only does this mark the best April for sales in the company's history, it also marks the fourth month the company has broken the 40,000 sales barrier.

“We continue to attract more and more first time owners to the brand. Demand for Subaru product has never been higher, and I thank our retailers for efficiently managing their vehicle inventories. We are on track for another record year!” said H. William Cyphers, senior vice president of sales for Subaru of America, Inc.

Four Subaru models had their best April. Those four models are:

• Forester: 11,547 units; up 23.3 percent
• Outback: 10,663 units, up 22.1 percent
• XV Crosstrek: 5,678 units; up 28.1 percent
• BRZ: 820 units, up 1 percent
