A6, A7, A8, and Q7 Make Up 32 Percent Of Total April Sales
Continuing a storyline from March, Audi announced that April was their 28th consecutive month of record sales. That's over two years of the brand setting sales records. So how many vehicles did Audi sell this month? They sold 13,157 units, an increase of 14.2 percent from the prior year. Total sales so far this year stand at 47,343 units, an increase of 15.5 percent.
The Q5 crossover was the sales winner for the month, selling 3,241 units. That was followed by the A4 with 3,143 units. Surprisingly, four of Audi's more expensive models made up 32 percent of sales for April; the A6 (1,905 units), A7 (645 units), A8 (465 units), and the Q7 (1,183 units).
“Audi shows no sign of slowing down in the U.S. market, and April clearly demonstrated that fact. To record the third-best sales totals ever in the traditionally fickle month of April is a remarkable achievement for our brand,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America.
