Outstanding used car
Pros: The seatsI purchased my 2000 3.2TL 4 door sedan in April, 2006 with 45K miles for $13K. Other than oil changes, and a set of tires, the car has not had any service problems. Gas milage is good, 23 city, 28 highway on regular gas (despite 91octane 'recommended.') I checked w/Acura, they told me I might get better mileage and performance with 91, but only 1mpg, and using regular would not hurt the car. I now have 71K miles, still runs and looks new, BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED!
Better than top ten! In a class by itself.
Pros: To many to list!
Cons: I have no dislikes.Bare none this is thee best vehicle I have ever driven or owned. Lexus, BMW, Mecedes, none hold a candle to Acura when it comes to the perfect combination of comfort, performance, quality, appearance, & state of the art features.
My TL Type S, S is for Super!
Cons: That it ages, I wish it could stay like-new!I am a car guy and auto tech and have owned and driven many autos over the 40 plus years of driving. My TL was purchased used with 12K miles and now just turned 108K miles. I have been totally impressed with the build quality, the performance and overall road worthiness of this car, so much so that when I test drive a new car, my TL is the bench mark. You know what, I have not found a new car that satisfies me the in the manner this TL does! I guess that says alot of a seven year old car.
performance & gas mileage seats ?
Pros: Fit & finish, gas mileage, performance
Cons: Front drivers seatWith 35,000 miles the car is still fantastic, Bought as a 07 leftover, just a little over 2 years old. Averaging 31 MPG and plenty of performance, The seats are typical Honda and could be more confortable for this senior citizen. My RL seats were perfect for me.
One of a kind vehicle that fits all catagories.
Cons: I have no dislikes.Acura again has set the standard by which all others are mearured with regard to comfort, performance, quality, and styling! Need I say more?
Pros: Power and Handling
Cons: Premium fuel reqirement. Our 3 kids currently each have BMW 3 convt.,G35 Sedan, and Audi A4. So we were up to date on them. Drove Lexus ES350, but too softly sprung, but very quiet. Last, drove the M35X, and liked it, except for subpar audio. The TL with Tech PKG give excellent bolstered seats, very good handling on corners and mountain roads, and some say best rated ELS audio system. In short, we think Acura TL has the best combination for us. And yes, others come to us and like the styling.
Pros: Everything - good Mileage, great comfort and styling that looks better every day.
Cons: the black and white display for mileage, temp....be nice to have those displayed on the nav system in color
Advice: its a great solid performer with great comfort and fuel mileage .... better than the posted ratingsAfter a summer, fall and winter, the Acura TL is still a pleasure to drive in Minnesota. My wife and I loved the interior at first site. Initially drawn tot he Infiniti G35, the Acura quickly grew as our choice after looking at BMWs, Lincolns, Nissan and Volvos. Nearly 9 months later, we still love it. Near 30 MPG on highway and a consistent 22 MPG during the cold winter suburb commuting around Minneapolis, there are no complaints and only some minor improvements I would like to see them make (an active instant MPG feature). Good leg room for a tall guy like me while my wife (it is her car) feels very comfortable. It also handled very well on snow and ice...other vehicles would have required us to pay for AWD since many are just RWD. RWD do not handle well on snow and ice despite their claims.
