Very nice
great car
Pros: Build quality
Cons: Accelation from dead stop
Advice: Don't waste your money on an A4 or 3 series.
Drove the G35 and BMW 3 series. Both great cars but cannot touch the price of the TSX. Acura loads their cars with standard features that cost thousands of dollars with the competition. Everyone who rides in my car compliments it and I enjoy driving it more and more. SLightly less power than a V-6 but using manual mode with the AT takes care of that. The engine is a dream to rev or 3000 RPM.Pros: The DVD nav is great, but the best 'feature' of this car is the nearly flawless engine.
Cons: The OEM tires (the Turanza EL-42s) SUCK! Get something good on there, much more fun.
Advice: Get one!
Owned mine for 11 months, about 15k miles so far. Loads of power, the 6speed shifts perfectly. Torque steer is very manageable for a car with this much power. The DVD-NAV is very cool. Corners great. I get 26mpg around town and a whopping 31-32 on the interstate. Inside is very very quiet.Pros: The 270hp motor
Cons: The stock acura wheels
Advice: Buy it
I test drove all of the other cars in its class, including the Lexus IS300, BMW 3-series, etc. This was the 11th. car I drove, and I bought it immediately. My only regret is that I should have bought the navigation system, but oh-well! The hands free connection through my cell phone is great, the 6-speed manual transmission is loads of fun...I've had my car a year now and am not getting tired of it, which is a 1st. for me.Pros: The smooth, comfortable ride.
Cons: Tire safety - during winter months
Advice: Ask that the dealer replaces the standard tires on the car. Not very dependable duirng winter months.
Overall, the car is exactly what I was looking for. The unexpected surprise that I received was driving during the winter months. The tire safety factor is a big concern because I live in the NEPA and the winter months can be very difficult driving conditions. But with the right tires, this would not have been an issue. At the time I purchased my vehicle, it would have important that the dealership bring this issue to my attention. After my calls to the dealership service center, they recommended that I purchase winter tires. From a customer service perspective, I think if I had been informed from the beginning that I would need winter tires, it would have been 'win' for their sales team.Pros: The navigation system and voice-recognition controls
Cons: If I HAD to change something, I'd add automatic headlights.
Advice: Buy it! It's an excellent value for the money.
I adore my car, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sporty handling, nimble acceleration, and numerous conveniences!
