very dependable, comfortable car.
Pros: comfort and roominess
Cons: gas mileageBest car I ever owned!
Pros: Far rear seats
Cons: Minor rattles in doors
Advice: Worth the extra money versus alternativesExcellent performance and gas mileage. Ability to seat 7 is essential, and the design of the far rear seats is excellent.
Pros: Everything from the Bose stereo system to the VTM-4 AWD to the Navigation System.
Cons: Faux wood trim...if you're going to be paying $40 grand for a luxury SUV, the interior trim should be REAL wood. But, of course this is only a minor complaint.
Advice: Put your name on a waiting list NOW!! You can always take it off later, deposit refunded. Also, get the Touring Package--a luxury SUV should have a power pass. seat. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, wait for the 2003 model (I did)--it has 6 significant improvements.I have test driven the MDX four times this summer...each time more convinced that this is the BEST SUV out there! I ordered one at the end of August (Touring w/ Nav.), and am expecting it in mid-Nov. Handles great, noise level with sunroof open on the highway is much improved over 2001 model, and the features are endless. I have been researching this car for 8 monthes now, and am extremely happy with what I've read and discovered about the MDX. I paid MSRP for mine, and I got the accessories at MSRP, too (online prices). I am counting the days until my MDX comes in...Go out and buy one now, so you'll have it in 3 monthes! Best SUV out there!! (It says I bought a 2002 model, but you could not select 2003 for the MDX, even though I ordered a 2003...WAIT FOR IT, IT'S MUCH IMPROVED!)
Pros: Navigation System
Cons: It's apperence
Advice: Buy it!Buy it!
Pros: The navigation and auto-four wheel drive system.
Cons: no side protection for door dings.
Advice: Go buy one now!It performs and handles like a sport sedan. Very potent engine. Great cornering ability too, even without any electronic-compensating device for that. The engineer who designed the vehicle had mentioned that he actually did not design it to have one- to save on vehicle cost(compared to the other vehicles in its class) and for it to be more reliable - the less electronics, the less it will have any problems. Instead, he widened the length between the rear wheels than the one in front to make it stable when cornering.
Pros: many favorite features, ie; driving visibility, radio, sunroof, etc
Cons: front cup holders location
Advice: get in, buckle up, enjoyDid not test drive. Dealer had no cars available to try. This is my 3rd Acura so I pretty much knew what to expect.
Pros: 6 cylinders. third row seats
Cons: no windows to open in the third row seating area
Advice: consider if your going to drive it everyday to commuteIt was very easy to drive and handle very smooth. It was pretty quiet I wish the third row seating area that they made it so you could open the windows in the back.It was very comfortable in front seats
