While ushering in the all-new seventh generation Volkswagen Golf, the German automaker decided to try its hand at going electric. Unlike other zero emission battery powered vehicles, the 2015 eGolf does not stand out as an electric vehicle. The 2015 eGolf maintains the same simple lines that make all other Golfs so fashionable. Autobytel’s Aaron Gold takes the all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf for a spin and finds the 115 horsepower electric motor and 80 miles of range to be quite suitable for everyday driving. On the downside, availability for the 2015 eGolf will initially be limited to states with friendly EV regulations and appropriate infrastructure for all-electric driving. However healthy government rebates and tax incentives might be enough to make the test drive worth your while. If you are looking for an EV that can fly under the radar, the all-new eGolf might be the right EV for you.
