2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Video Review

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an all-new version of America's iconic sports car.  Available as either a two-seat coupe or a two-seat roadster, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces up to 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque with the optional dual mode exhaust system installed.  This makes it the most power base Corvette ever built, and when the available Z51 package is selected (which includes more aggressive gearing as well as a stiffer suspension system and a number of other high performance goodies), the car can sprint to 60-mph in just 3.8 seconds (as opposed to 4.5 seconds in the standard model).  A magnetically-controlled suspension can additionally be found on the Corvette's options list.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray also debuts a seven-speed manual transmission, with the option of a six-speed automatic.  A vastly improved interior provides upgraded seats, with the availability of sport buckets to help grip driver and passenger through corners, and all versions of the coupe feature a removable roof panel that can be made out of carbon fiber.  Fuel economy for the Corvette Stingray checks in at 29-mpg on the highway for manual models, thanks in part to direct fuel injection as well as cylinder deactivation technology that can see the V-8 operate on only four cylinders at cruising speeds.

Base MSRP for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (not including delivery) is listed at $51,000.
