You might think that Hyundai doesn't have a hybrid vehicle in their lineup, but you would be incorrect. Hyundai does have a hybrid vehicle and it happens to be the 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.

The Sonata Hybrid has almost the same four-door coupe styling as the standard Sonata. The difference is a new front end to help improve efficiency, and different taillights. Inside, the Sonata Hybrid gets a new gauge cluster that shows how efficiently you are driving. Standard equipment on the Hybrid model includes dual climate control, heated front seats, and Bluetooth. Step up to the Hybrid Limited and that nets you leather, heated rear seats, an Infinity sound system, navigation, and a backup camera.

Power comes from Hyundai's Blue Drive architecture which features a 2.4-liter Theta II four-cylinder engine (159 horsepower and 154 pound-feet of torque), a 35kW electric motor, and a 47kW Lithium polymer battery. This architecture allows the Sonata Hybrid to have a total power output of 199 horsepower. Unlike most hybrids which utilize a CVT, the Sonata Hybrid uses a six-speed automatic. Fuel economy is rated at 36 City/40 Highway/38 Combined.

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid starts at $25,650 while the Sonata Hybrid Limited starts at $30,550. Competitors to the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid include the Ford Fusion Hybrid, Kia Optima Hybrid, and Toyota Camry Hybrid.
