2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI: Video Road Test and Review

The Volkswagen Jetta GLI is a four-door five-passenger sedan that shares the same sporty power plant and styling as the fun to drive VW GTI hot hatch.  All Jetta GLIs are powered by a boosted 2.0 Liter TSI four cylinder that produces 200 HP and 207 lb-ft of torque being channeled through a six speed manual standard, or an optional DSG with Tiptronic paddle shifters and a sport mode, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.8 seconds and gets an estimated 22 MPG in the city and as much as 33 MPG on the highway.  The Jetta GLI is offered in base, Autobahn and GLI Autobahn with Navigation trim levels.

The entry level Volkswagen Jetta GLI comes equipped with a set of 17 inch alloys, bolstered sport buckets with accent stitching that matches the leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel as well as a touch screen multifunction audio entertainment system starting out at $23,495.  The VW GLI Autobahn is upgraded with bespoke 18 inch rims, a power tilt and slide tinted sunroof as well as V-Tex leatherette seating and a Climatronic dual zone climate control for $25,545.  Meanwhile the top of the line GLI Autobahn with Navigation gets goodies like keyless entry with a pushbutton starter, the Fender Premium stereo and the 6.5 inch touch screen navigation display priced at only $26,445.
