The Toyota Camry Hybrid is a four door five passenger gas/electric hybrid version of one of the best selling sedans in the world.  The Japanese automaker offers the Camry Hybrid in both LE and XLE trim levels; both powered by a 2.5 Liter four cylinder VVT-i internal combustion engine combined with an electric motor for a total of 200 HP being channeled through an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission to the front wheels and is good for an estimated 43 MPG in the city and as much as 39 MPG on the highway thanks to a regenerative braking system.

The $25,900 base Toyota Camry Hybrid LE comes with energy conscious attractive technologies like electronic powers steering to free up a few more ponies as well as assist with the MPGs under the hood, projector beam halogen headlamps with an automatic on/off feature to save the battery, folding power mirrors for those tight squeezes, Smart Key System with push button starter and illuminating approach lights and metallic tech grain interior trim with chrome door pulls.  The more affordable Hybrid Camry comes with a six speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with USB inputs and iPod compatibility as well as BLU Logic Hands Free connectivity and rides on a set of 16 inch steel wheels.

The more luxurious Camry Hybrid XLE is available with the Convenience Package that includes an available backup camera, HomeLink universal transceiver and an anti-theft system with alarm.  The XLEs are distinguishable from the lesser Hybrids thanks to a pair of integrated fog lamps, chrome tipped exhaust, optional power tilt/slide moonroof and a set of 17 inch alloys wrapped in low rolling resistance tires; just one more way Toyota is trying to save some MPGs.  The $27,400 XLE comes with a 6.1 inch touch screen infotainment center standard that can even stream music via Bluetooth technology wirelessly, and is upgradeable to a Premium HDD Navigation unit with Entune being controlled via a 7 inch touch screen interface.

A list of cars similar to the Camry Hybrid includes the 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid, 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid.
