2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD: Video Road Test and Truck Review

Featuring the same stronger frame construction and impressively menacing turbodiesel as fellow heavy duty GM titans, the GMC Sierra HD further separates itself from the pack thanks to the new Denali edition. Powered by the premium 6.6L turbocharged diesel Duramax optionally available on the standard Sierra 2500HD, the Denali 2500HD is pegged as the only serious contender Ford’s popular F-250 King Ranch edition. The interior is wrapped in sumptuous leather and offers a less ungainly alternative to the King Ranch. Offered only in four-door extended cab, the Denali 2500HD is available with either a standard or long bed and can be easily identified by the four-bar chrome grille, body-color bumpers, chrome door handles, and standard 17-inch polished aluminum wheels.

Pricing for the 2012 Sierra 2500HD 2WD Regular Cab, Long Box begins at just $27,295. As you graduate in size to the 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab, Long Box with the premium SLT trim and famed Duramax powerplant, sticker shock creeps over the $50k mark. For the Sierra Denali 2500HD, MSRP begins at $45,430.

Trucks similar to the Silverado 2500HD are the Ford F-250, Ford F350, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500.
