    2002 Audi A4 - 3.0 (M6) quattro Sedan

    Pros: road feel

    Cons: functional look

    Advice: get it!

What an experience. New 2002 A4 3 litre is without a doubt the best/performance/price value I have ever experienced. (I have owned a BMW Z M, 530i, 325xi, Jag 3.0 X type, in both manual and automatic versions). The A4 has throaty power and performance and holds the road like you are driving on railroad tracks. It is very roomy inside and beautifully appointed. This new version looks like last year's A6 sizewize. Fully loaded, with all the feattures, it was $35,000. Unbelievable!

2003 Toyota Matrix - Standard AWD

Pros: Combination of cargo room and good fuel economy

Cons: Small gas tank on the 4WD (11.9 gal.)

Advice: Pick up a better tire-iron, the one it comes with is wimpy.

We got the Matrix 4WD since the winters in Wyoming can be harsh. Its acceleration is sufficient and its handling is quick and responsive. The Matrix is just about perfect for us; a couple just out of college. It is quite fun to drive. A hiccup we have noticed is that the 4-speed transmission shifts really hard as the car crests a hill. The only other concern was that as a new model we weren’t sure about the reliability. Since the Matrix has mostly Corrola guts we are optimistic.

    2002 Audi A4 - T (M5) quattro Sedan

    Pros: 4WD (quatro)

Cons: cupholder, you can't close your garage door with the homelink feature if car is off.

    Advice: go get it.

Beautiful and smooth handling (not soft). You really want to drive it more and more, and it is tough to decide wether you'll take the highway to go fast, or the scenic route, to feel the road in this car.

    2003 Toyota Matrix - Standard (M5) FWD

    Pros: Cute

    Cons: Problems already

Advice: Wait a year till they work the bugs out.

I bought the car 3 weeks ago and I already have problems. The check engine light and the headlight low beam indicator light both came on. I have to get a new 'oxygen sensor' from the manufacturer, whatever that is. I'm very dissapointed. I thought Toyota's where supposed to be reliable, expecially a NEW one! Has anyone else had problems w/ it already?

    2003 Toyota Matrix - XRS (M6) FWD

    Pros: The celica engine (VVTL-i)

Cons: The large blind spot. (can be alleviated with larger rear inside mirror)

Advice: Definantly go with the XRS. It is well worth it.

The manual 6 speed was excellent and the handling was great... Remember the XRS borrow its engine from the sporty car Celica. The cargo space is awesome and the price is awesome. Remember, toyota is only making 75,000 of these this year. Better get your hand on one or else just wait till next year. The elec outlet is totally unprecedent and I love it with my laptop. I didn't go for the navigation cuz I can just use my laptop as a navigation system. HEHEHE! Definantly go test drive and see this car at the dealer even if you are not looking into buying this car.

2003 Pontiac Vibe - Base FWD

Pros: The driver controls and instrumentation

    Cons: I honestly haven't found a feature I dislike...sorry!

    Advice: Drive

It is fun to drive my new 2003 Vibe. Once you're behind the wheel, the experience begins to unfold as you close the door(quality sound) and gaze at the interior design and spaciousness. The Vibe's fit and finish is very good. The driving experience is comfortable, quiet, responsive and secure. For $19,000 this is a well equipped vehicle that is very versatile in it's ability to carry passengers and parcels. A road test is a must to experience this new design, the new age 'station-wagon' of efficiency.

    2002 Audi A4 - T (M5) quattro Sedan

    Pros: Quattro ESP

    Cons: Width of centre console

Advice: Take it round a tight hairpin at 60mph in the wet. It surprised the hell out of me how stable it was.

The handling in poor/slippery conditions is unparallelled. Quite simply this car had the best balance of comfort, luxury, looks, performance and price. Also it's not as common as a 3 series...yet !
