Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: lots of passenger and cargo room
Cons: soft body, not comfortable to drive
Advice: make sure your comfortable and safe.i just test drive a matrix 2 days ago. i could not relax my feet its bend and still the steering wheel is too far from me. im a 5'11'. the shifting knob is too close too the dash board controls.
Pros: flexibility in toting cargo and people
Cons: No tape player. I was told by the dealer that Toyota isn't installing, since nobody is requesting
Advice: Buy it now. The price will increase quickly.I conducted quite a bit of research on-line before I purchased. My last car was a Corolla, but I wanted something with more flexibility...I have 5 grandchildren and need to tote bikes, etc. in addition to people. Though I'm only 5' tall I feel totally comfortable in this vehicle. I really like the wide windshield. I also like being higher off the ground than in the Corolla. I think that Toyota is missing an entire market by simply aiming this vehicle at young people. I'm 50+ and I LOVE it!!
Cons: large blind spot(big C-pillar and rear head rest)
Advice: test drive and experience the quattro technologyThis is my first Audi and quattro vehicle. I thought Audi did great job with styling of 2000-2001 model but I am impressed more with 2002 model style. Drive very solid, quiet and very luxurious. Quattro handles like a champ in the rain, no other can much that. There seem to be one second lag when you step on the pedal, then with sudden acceleration. I love the fold out side mirror, drawer under the front seat and automatic sunshade option.
Pros: External shape and beauty of the body.
Cons: Engine could have used another 30 horses
Advice: Drive your car for 20+ miles to see if any unnecessary warning lights come on, before you buy or lease this vehicleDrives great...beware of electrical problems that began with only 6 miles on my odometer! Now its in the shop for my anti-lock brake and traction control warning lights that come on when they feel like it. Audi can't fix it yet either....so I'm headed for my 4th day in the shop, almost in the shop more than I've had it on the road. Car looks great, handles well, has everything right but (perhaps) the quality will not end up being so good?
Advice: get a deal or get a matrixI liked the pontiac vibe overall but I feel that the matrix may be the better value since it is essentially the same car I am a long time pontiac owner and currently have a 1978 y 88 T/A and a 1999 30th anv. T/A
Pros: handling and comfort
Cons: I haven't found anything yet.
Advice: test drive and enjoyThe moment I sat behind the wheel I knew this was the car for me. It's very comfortable and handles great. The sound system and roominess make it a pleasure to drive. I've owned my Vibe for a month now, and did have a scare. About three weeks after purchasing my Vibe it wouldn't idle. I took it to the dealership and there was a small glitch in the computer system that had to be reset. Since then it has run fine. I was expecting maybe something like that would happen in a brand new model. I would still reccommend this car to anyone. It's a great ride.
Pros: Standard 6 disk in dash CD player & power folding mirrors
Cons: Wheel selection
Advice: A6 3.0 is a better deal than a fully loaded A4 3.0 Go for the A6!!My wife drives a 96 A4 and we loved the way it drives, however the back seat is way too small. The A6 3.0 Q is a great bargian for a sport/luxury car and Audi is the best at all wheel drive. The lighter engine gives the A6 excellent acceleration and with the tipronic it is a fun car to drive. Some question the The non-linear steering but I like it. This is an awesome automoblie for the price.
