    2004 Volvo XC90 - 2.5T AWD

Despite Consumer Reports generally negative rating, my XC-90 has earned its license plate (XTC90). Since picking it up at the factory in May 2004, we've driven it in all conditions without major problems. Aside from a recalled leaking fuelpump, the only issues have been unexpected dumbshit poor-design ones i.e., gearshift lever jammed in park, sunroof drains plugged up and overflowed inside the cabin and alarm system malfunctioned in the middle of the night. At 90k miles, looking for 3million

    2004 Volvo XC90 - T6 SR AWD

    Pros: Center booster seat.

Cons: Our cup holder always breaks down.

    Advice: Have fun.

This drives very nice. Volvo took us to Nazarateh Race track and it was fun.

    2004 Volvo XC90 - T6 SR AWD

    Pros: Styling

    Cons: Performance

Advice: If considering purchasing - I hope you like time shares with the mechanics

Cam Shaft replaced. Valves replaced. Wheel Bearing replaced. Tie Rods replaced multiple times. Stereo has a mind of its own. Head gasket replaced. Manifold gasket replaced. Headliner and carpet have come undone. Approach lights that light the interior floor board do not always shut off. GPS also has a mind of its own - starts working without turning it on. Brakes are making lots of noise at 20,000 miles. MPG is now at 15.6 which is NOT the all time low.

    2004 Volvo XC90 - FWD

Pros: Safe construction of the body

    Cons: Traction and stopping

    Advice: Change the tires immediately

The stopping and traction on this vehicle are the scariest of any car I have ever owned. The ABS is so senstive that if come on when not needed and does not stop the car in a decent fashion. With a couple of inches of snow the car will spin out at every corner. It reminds me of the rear wheel cars we used to have. It does not track well. This year I will replace the Michelin tires with proper snow tires to try and improve performance.

    2004 Volvo XC90 - T6 SR AWD

    Pros: Comfort and power

Cons: The rear bumper area appearance can be improved

Advice: Buy this baby and you won't regret it

Bought last Nov 2003 and already put 15000 enjoyable miles. This T6 rides like a luxury car and powerful. Got a ticket going 90+ mph going up the Baker California grade on my way to Las Vegas with a lot more power left.

    2004 Volvo XC90 - FWD

    Pros: the way it drives

    Cons: the accelaration/hp

Advice: try to get the dealership down on the price...was a bit expensive and they didnt want to budge

Having come from a Land Rover Discovery, this suv drove like a car...better actually. Effortless in all areas...the acceleration could be better but I opted for the less horse power over better fuel economy.

    2004 Volvo XC90 - 2.5T AWD

    Pros: Safety & stability control

    Cons: Premium unleaded gasoline

    Advice: You won't regret it!

I've waited this vehicle for a very long time. Now is the best time to buy since the price starts to loosen due to the supply increases. Pros: safety, stability control, size, style, auto lights control (headlight & interior), well-distributed air (to all 3 rows), air filtration, PremAir radiator, protection for pedestrians & small vehicles; Cons: MPG, premium unleaded gasoline, lack of frontal parking radar.
