    2004 Volvo V70

    Very good vehicle

Pros: The individual heat/cool button for front seats.

Cons: The comfort of a big car.

Volvo has been dependable and fun to drive. It has room in the back for all my art easels, etc. The safety bags in front and side are comforting to be there and the engine construction is good to slide sideways in case of an accident. It rides easy but much smoother when carrying a load. I like it.

    2006 Volvo V50

    V50 Sport Wagon

    Pros: Auto Stick shift feature

Cons: seat adjuster for passenger seat

Outstanding vehicle in both quality and performance. I have 150,000 miles on this vehicle and it has better fuel economy now than when it was brand new. Averaging 29-30 mpg hwy and 25 city for the last 20,000 miles. The 5 cylinder engine is potent and plenty of power for highway driving. Handling is superb and the car corners like it is on rails. Only area that might be improved is the adjustment for the passenger seat. A bit clunky for such a nice car. This car is well made and is still quiet and squeek free after 150K miles. The car looks and drives like a sports car and still has the functionality of a small wagon. Seats are comfortable and provide great lumbar support.

    Cons: Small door pockets.

The car is joy to drive, very comfortable and quiet. Turbocharged engine is very fuel efficient and powerful Luggage space is a big and with folded rear seats is possible transport surprisingly large objects.

    2007 Volvo XC70 - Base

    Pros: Road handling and safety

Cons: Maintenance cost and poor quality

    Advice: Buy some other car

Bought a new 2000 V70AWD SE. LOved the car initially. The maintenance costs averaged 2-3K a year after the warrantly ran out. Had no end of electrical problems, ECT went out at 50K miles - $1,400, Transfer Differential at 60K miles - $4,000!!!. My mistake was not buying an extended warranty. Car handles well in poor road conditions- ice, snow, heavy rain. Cost of ownership is the killer. My first and last Volvo. Volvo's biggest mistake - selling out to FORD!!!
