Advice: IF you can afford the T5 do it. If you are tall look elsewhereWe have 6000 Km on our 2005 2.4i 5speed. Sporty might be too strong a word but it has a premium euro feel at thousands less than BMW or Audi. Excellent safty features, relaxed quite and fule efficient long distance car for a small wagon. Volvo seats and good mileage mean 600 KM stints are easy. Cornering with the sport package is confident but not the kind of thing that begs for a race track. the 2.4 l 5 has a flat power band but can be uninspired if you end up a gear too high. Don't test drive the t5 unless you have no intention of geting a 2.4 you'll always bewanting the t5.

Advice: Don't drive unless you're ready to buy, or suffer from Mad Car Lust for months...This car is swift, quiet, and sure-footed. It might be smaller inside than the family's XC-70, but is worlds ahead of the former model (I once got wedged in the back seat of one at a dealership -- no sale!). Love the high-tech console. Great seats. Prices are in line with the market (if you want cheap, go drive a Toyota). As others have noted, don't drive it if you don't want to buy. It's that good.

Advice: Don't test drive it unless you have mony to buy it. You will end up buying it!I test drove this car 3 times--twice with sports package and once with premium package. Ride with premium package felt better for me. Maybe it's because it came with the nice & comfortable leather? It's small and cute wagon so don't expect to put a lot of stuff at the back. The materials used in this car are in extremely high quality, much better than Audi A4, which I also have test drove many times. The ride was firm and comfortable with smooth engin. At high rpm, the 5 cylinder engine made perculier sounds but pleasant. In closing, it's is an attractive car with a lot of luxury and safety features; however, the cost of this car climbs up fast with options.

Advice: Go get one!At the end of July, I test drove a V50 T5 with the geartronic at my local dealer and enjoyed the car enough to lease one. However, there were very few T5s available and I needed a car imediately due to another lease expiration. Well, one of the Volvo owned dealerships released their demo to me (A-plan) on August 8 and I have driven the car about 500 miles. The car is fantastic, it's very quick, economical and just plain fun to drive. In combined driving the car got 26 mpg and thats with test drives and 60% highway driving. The low pressure turbo has terrific low end torque that nearly out accelerates my '87 911 and the ride is nicely firm. The handling is tight with the all season Michelin's being the limiting factor.

Advice: If you are not ready to buy V50 T5 then don't test it.I drove V50 with T5 engine and Geartronic transmission. The dealer gave me 2h time to test it. After 1h I called to dealer and begged to be able to return the car on next morning. The car was superb. Both in quality and performance. T5 engine gave me a ride of a lifetime. If you are not ready to buy V50 T5 then don't test it. Needles to say: I ordered it.
