COMFORTABLE 4 SEAT CONVERTIBLE
Pros: seats and overall appearance
Cons: sticky window op buttons, slow roof opening/closingExcellent value elegant and most comfortable which in spite of its age still turns heads. The reliability and feeling of safety is 'VOLVO' The only problem are sticky window winder switches and steering, which needs frequent lubrication. The power roof is very slow, compared with peer group.
Wonderful Blend of Convertable & Hardtop
Pros: Convertable Top
Cons: The cost, but it is a great value.I have owned many convertables over the years, but this is by far the best! I am a person who normally gives out average ratings on everything, but this superb automobile deserves the rankings I have given it. If you want qulality, convenience, style and comfort the Volvo C70 delivers!
Classy and practical convertible.
Cons: Light leather has picked up some stains that are difficult to remove. Seats are comfortable but should be a little more adjustable.Volvo C-70 is a very comfortable ride. Looks good enough to turn heads, but is practical enough to seat 4. Not as sporty as some of it's competitors, but sporty enough to be fun to drive and by far the safest convertible made. Built quality is excellent. Hardtop is very well conceived and has less moving parts than competitors and has had an excellent reliability record. Great sound system and bluetooth works well. More trunk space than any of its competitors.
Pros: Comfortable, stylish, has the wow factor when you put the top down
Cons: 18' Mirzam rims crack and go oval under normal driving conditions.
Advice: Don't buy it with the 18' mirzam rims. You will have to replace them at your own expense.Would not buy the 2006 C70 again. I have had all 4 18' Mirzam rims go out of round and 2 crack under normal driving conditions. In the course of more research I have found other 2006 C70 owners who have had to replace all 4 18' Mirzam rims twice. It's a pretty car and it handles well but unless you've got money to burn to replace rims and tires under normal driving consditions it isn't worth it or the hassle. So much for safety. They are not covered under warranty. It isn't a pleasure to drive since I have to try and avoid every little crack, dip and bump in the road everytime I drive the car.
Pros: Hard Top Roof that folds
Cons: Everything is perfect, perhaps slightly underpowered
Advice: Buy itI recently purchased a 2007 C70, it is the real deal in every way!!! My previous C70 was not so perfect, I bought my 2004 C70 new in March of 2004. I loved, and still do love my Car. As time has gone on, I have realized a few flaws that must, and apparently have been addressed. First of all, the Shake and lack of rigidity for such an expensive car is poor. This car was not very well planned out, I have the larger wheels which rub against the wheel wells, I have had trouble with the steering, and in the last two years when I start the car, it seems to rev and then stal immediately, I have to wait 10 seconds and start again, this second try usually works, but again, Russian Roulette with a car of this stature is just not appropriate. Cowl shake is also poor, and I am not that happy with the handling. With all of this being said, I love the car on a whole, it has been fairly reliable, and the workmanship is unmistakable, I find the comfort incredible, as well as the appearance. Last week I went into Volvo for service and looked for a second time at the new 2007 C70, I fell in love and soon bought the newer, more rigid, and 10X better version. After the test drive, I was sold...the differences are unreal, I would prefer this new C70 over ANY german counterpart, and I have to reccomend the same to any C70 owner.
Pros: Hard top
Cons: Brake pedal too close to gas pedal
Advice: wait for mid 2007 u may be able to get a better deal $$$$$WOW
