    2003 Volkswagen GTI

    Gti Fan4Life

Pros: Auto roll down windows, with a viper auto start system is a dream come true.

Cons: That i had to sell it to keep my house.... :(

I used to own a 2005 GTI in Indigo Blue and jsut fell in love with the car. I only had it stock for about 3 months before i started tuning. Even before i replaced the suspension my friends with Sti's and subies couldnt believe how it handled. Race car, with too many luxaries to describe ....

    2003 Volkswagen GTI - T (M5)

    Pros: take off

Cons: Extreamly high maintainance costs for schuded maintainances.

Advice: Insurance companies rate this as a sports car and charge to the max.

Takes off fast an is nimble at high speeds. Less road noise than most and has a great sound system that I can't turn up past 1/4 volumn.

    2003 Volkswagen GTI - T (M5)

Pros: more upscale than its competition, great balance of performance and comfort

Cons: no foglights, small back hatch handle, some German ergonomic quirks

Advice: get with manual transmission only for best driveability

A great all around sports car with German character, which stands out from its newer but lesser competition. Got mine used with low miles, no issues so far. It's loaded with leather, sunroof, ESP, 17-inch rims, Monsoon stereo -- altogether a great blend of performance and luxury. For its class the suspension is a bit soft and the car a bit heavy, but overall it is comfortable and powerful from stoplight to stoplight, or on long drives. The 1.8 turbo is a honey of an engine and fun to rev. Interior materials are typical Audi/VW high quality. Not the most trendy exterior around nowadays, but very practical and roomy hatchback design. And it seems to stand out from all the generic Civic/Focus/Celica hot hatchbacks you see everywhere.

    2003 Volkswagen GTI - VR6 (M6)

Pros: The 24V engine's power and torque.

Cons: Not aggressive looking enough like the R32 or 20th anniv edition

Advice: None. Just buy or lease it, and ENJOY the drive!

The GTI is an automotive legend, going back all the way to it's VW Rabbit lineage. It is a 'drivers car' respected worldwide. It has singlehandedly brought to our shores, and popularized the peformance 'hot hatch' niche. The 2003 GTI 24V VR6 is simply awesome in so many respects, and will put a smile on your face, as it has for me over the past 2 years! This very well engineered car pulls hard, but smooth in all gears, and has more than ample horsepower and torque such that shifting can be minimized if you so desire. Of course, many drivers will want to utilize each gear to normally revved levels and beyond, and this is when you are rewarded with sports car-like acceleration and a throaty growl from the double pipe exhaust, which will put a cheshire cat smile on your face. Fit and finish is superb, and the interior cockpit is Audi or BMW like in amenities and ergonomics. The 17 inch rims give great handling for a front heavy six, and the car tracks well. Best of all, I have not had any problems with it mechanically. None whatsoever! All in all, a GREAT, fast, reliable car!

    2003 Volkswagen GTI - T (M5)

    Cons: nothing

Advice: Bargain to get a lower price on the car.

I fell in love with the GTI the moment I saw it on the lot. I didn't want to test drive any cars after this one. I've had it about 5 months now and still love it!! Great mileage and pick up on this baby. Overall a great buy.

    2003 Volkswagen GTI - T (M5)

Pros: Red and Black sport seats

    Cons: Nothing

Advice: Hands down---the best of the best in VW engineering.

From the minute you step into the vehicle, you believe that you have entered another world. From the bright blue and red illuminations from the dashboard, to the rush of the turbo, you immediately know that you are in a superb vehicle. I have worked for a VW dealer and I can say that by far the GTI is the best of the VW line with the fewest reliability concerns and low maintanence needs. I have 2 other VW's in my houshold and by far this one th emost fun and it get the most looks at the streetlight, next to my BMW. The turbo I4 is definately a must and you can't beat the fuel economy. Great power, great value, and an all-around winner!!!
