  Summary

  Best Bang for Buck...Ever!!!

  Pros: Interior finish/seats

  Cons: No 6 speed manual tranny.

  What a deal this little road warrior is! With incentives I got this little tiger for $16.5 K. It's quick at low or high speeds. With 18' wheels it's a snake on sandpaper. Seats are fabulous and finish is absolutely first rate. I love it!!!

  Golf TDI Amazing!!!

  Pros: Turbo Diesel

  Cons: had to wait for it to come in

  My 2010 Golf TDI is amazing! Go-kart handling, plenty of pep, great seats and the mpg is out of this world. The interior is quite roomy for a compact car and the list of standard features is impressive.

  Like the German engineering. Has a lot of nice features, and enough engine, and suspension to be a little fun to drive. Nice and solid. Feels well made.

  Pros: The quality is fantastic for the price.

  Cons: Limited storage areas in the cabin

  Advice: Buy one now!

  I just bought the Golf 3 days ago, and haven't actually driven it much, so these are my first impressions. It's a blast! The engine is powerful and quiet (but not broken in yet, so I've been sort of easy on it), the handling is very good (new tires, not taking it to the limit yet), considering it's fairly soft suspension, with nice feedback from the steering wheel. It doesn't have any numbness common to assisted systems. The shifter is sweet. Considering that this is an $18,000 car (including destination charge) I am beyond impressed. I could go on and on about the great features- quick and really solid, fantastic Recaro style seats that hug me perfectly (adjustable lumbar support on both sides) with very nice fabric, the smooth quiet ride with very good handling, the feeling of complete stability at 100+ speeds. It's got the interior of a much more expensive vehicle. And personally I think the exterior is very attractive, while the hatch makes it really versatile. Try it, you'll like it. Good job VW!
