    2003 Volkswagen Jetta - GLI (M6) Sedan

Pros: The solid feel and perfornance

    Cons: The cupholder

Advice: Get all of the goodies

Solid, smooth and quick! The boost to 200 HP helped as did the performance package and the six speed. Wet or dry, it doesn't really matter and the ABS will save your tail if you enter an unmarked 15 MPH corner at 50 in the rain like I did. Outstanding! The cold weather pkg. warms the posterior nicely on a cold day. I traded a 2001 Maxima SE for this and don't regret it. It's a solid ride with a kickin' sound system to boot. Enjoy that GLI!

    2003 Saab 9-5 - Aero Sedan

    Pros: Handling/Performance

Cons: cup holders and needs an in dash six dish CD

    Advice: Test drive it

This is an awesome driving machine. It handles great in the city during rush hour (great breaks) and when set free on the open highway you better set your cruise control. The sound system (200 watts) has plenty of power and very clean for acoustical instrumental jazz and classical recordings.

    2002 Audi A4 - T (M5) FWD Front Trak Sedan

    Pros: Turbo

Cons: Loss of engine power when the A/C is on

Advice: Test drive this one and the 3.0 is a better option

Drives just great. I have a manual and just love it. The turbo feature is really nice except for the lag before it kicks in. I got the bose upgrade on mine and it sounds just great. The only problem I faced so far was the ABS system which had to be replaced. Other than that this is truely an amazing car. Buyers looking at the C's and the 3 series should really consider this one.

    2003 BMW 525 - i (M5) Sedan

Pros: Overall appearance and smooth ride.

    Cons: Nothing!

Advice: Go and drive this...you'll buy it!

I was certainly tempted to cough up the additional four grand for the 530i when I purchased my new 525i and, after driving it for several months, I'm glad I didn't. This is the smoothest running car on the planet! The engine is responsive, shifting is a breeze (I have the five speed) and the overall quality of the car is second to none. I have owned many 'Japanese luxury sedans' and thought they were very good. This is way better!

    2002 Audi A6 - 3.0L (A5) quattro Sedan

Pros: feel of gripping the road & lumbar supports & sound system,

Cons: Appearance of lack of depth of the rear seat back- but have NOT ridden it yet

Advice: Test dirve in the mountians!!

Very impressed w/ features, size and creature comforts. Was not even considered until salesman showing us Acura heard us mention having owned 2 Mercedes and missed the feeling of a substanial car around us. One drive in the Audi knocked our socks off. Drove it 250 miles home thru 2 sets of foothill and mountain roads just now and love everything about it--so far!!

    2003 Subaru Outback - Base (M5) Wagon

    Pros: Well built unit

    Cons: Seats and sound

Advice: Shop for autos with better seats

Subaru has always pinched on the seats and standard sound---I don't understand why they don't get it that the front seats are bearable, but not more than that. We had to upgrade the dinky cd/radio and speakers. Too bad! Finally, they could make the unit a little wider to add seat and leg room.
