    2002 Volvo S60 - 2.4T A SR FWD

Pros: Auto Climate Control/Steering Wheel Audio Control

    Cons: No change/coin tray

Advice: Lots of good features-get the 2.4T for the extra HP-it's worth it. Shop hard too-prices vary WIDELY.

This is a teriffic car, sporty but steady and smooth-Turbo lag is better than my 2002 9-3 Saab. The 17' wheels are like riding a rail on the curves. The controls make sense, lots of good features-

    2003 Volvo XC90 - AWD

    Pros: T6 Engine

Cons: 3rd seat was functional, but a little cramped.

Advice: Order NOW as there seems to be a waiting list at all of the dealerships near us.

Volvo has really created a perfect sport utility vehicle with the XC90. The model that we looked at had the T6 engine and it was certainly fun to drive. The day that we test drove the XC90 it was snowing and we were very pleased with the way the vehicle handled. The only downside is availability as the dealer indicated that we would not be able to buy one for 2 more months!

    2002 Volvo S40 - Base

Pros: The handling, and the comfort.

Cons: 15' tires the only size option

Advice: Get all options available, the car is great!

DON’T get a Volts. Jetta, they have so many problems. I have three friends that have gotten Jetta's in the past year and they all have had window problems and two have had transmission problems. The S40 drives great! I got every option available. I did research and test drove many other cars. The Audi A4 was the only other one I seriously considered, but the S40 did beat it. You get much more for you money with the Volvo S40. The 2.0T with the Audi A4 does not even come with real leather. The S40 is a GREAT car!

    2002 Volvo V70 - XC A SR AWD

Pros: The seats.the stereo, the ride.

    Cons: storage in front

Advice: rides like a cloud for a SUV. Handles like a fine European road car.

Quiet, alert, comfortable, able to do anything you want, when you want. Car is luxurious along with utilitarian. No need to worry, this car will rise to the occasion, whatever the need. At the same time you'll have the peace of mind you are in the safest vehicle on the planet. Lacking some nooks and crannys of my previous V70 for storage, but much more sophisticated in all other ways. Great car !

    2002 Volvo V40 - Base

    Pros: Seats are comfortable

Cons: Cheap steering wheel doesn't match the leather interior

    Advice: Load it up

The V40 has plenty of 'Bang for the Buck'. Great leather interior with comfortable seats, CD stereo, nice trim, interior and exterior design, looks high quality (except for the cheap steering wheel). More of a sporty ride than a luxury ride. Could be a little more quiet (too much wind and road noise into the cabin). It has the feel of a European sport wagon, not a luxury sedan. The 1.9T has plenty of power and the transmission is smooth. The turbo is quiet and smooth without any lag or boost whiplash. Feels like a nice 6 cyl. If it is as reliable as my 95 Subaru legacy wagon has been, my 2002 V40 with premium plus and winter package will be a great buy for $25.5K. Two wagons, my god, I am a nerd!!!!
