Pros: On the steering wheel radio controls!
Cons: The wiper arm is a tad too close to the turning signal arm.
Advice: DRIVE IT and YOU'LL BUY IT!I own the 2003 Sienna LE Symphony Addition. The Van is awesome...need I say more. I knew I was going to buy it as soon as I climbed behind the wheel. I had test driven the Honda Oddezzy beforehand and it didn't even come close to the Sienna as far as I am concerned.
Pros: Drives like a car.
Cons: Arm rests on the chairs are not up to par for the quality/price of the vehicle.
Advice: Don't hesitate, but ask Toyota to improve their arm rests.Excellent. Handles like a car, but with enough room for a family.
Pros: Toyota quality/reliabilty and great car like ride
Cons: A little small in the rear. LE/CE not differentiated enough
Advice: Dont be afraid to deal...very aggressive pricing at or below invoiceSienna Symphony....great value. Excellent, smooth and quiet ride. All the goodies you need.
Pros: The build quality is fantastic, this is our second Sienna
Cons: The sound system is still weak, even with the JBL set-up
Advice: Sienna will be redesigned in May, '03; to be larger; I still like the '02This is our 2nd Sienna. We had a 99 XLE and loved it. The styling is smoother and the quality is superb. The seats are wide and comfortable, and the step-in height seems lower than the T&C. The engine is strong and smooth. We went with the Symphony model and also got the factory video system. The exact system on the web site is only available from the factory, so be wary of substitutes. The power door(s) are a must, and the captains chairs work best with the kids. My only wish is that they'd upgrade the brakes. Rear drums make for a mushy feel. They are dealing on this car (unlike the snobby Honda dealers).
Pros: Smooth ride
Cons: Third row seating is difficult to get in and out of
Advice: Buy XLE model with traction control. Get invoice pricing before you see dealerOverall the Sienna delivered an excellent ride. Punch the accelerator and it takes off. It handled well and has a soft suspension which gave a smooth ride. Excellent visibility all around. Comfortable and easy to get in and out of seating except third row seats. Getting in and out of third row is a chore. Interior is roomy and controls are well laid out. Overall an excellent choice for a mini van
Pros: The tinted windows.
Cons: The third row seating.
Advice: I suggest you get the most expensive the XLE because the minivan would be alot better if you had leather and more options than the CE.I like the Sienna very much, but it also has many bad qualities. The steering is alittle rough and the third row seating is very hard to get into. However, the minivan drives very smoothly and and the quality of the car is just amazing.
Pros: The seating and road handling.
Cons: The dealer and Toyota's lack of response in resolving simple problems.
Advice: Make sure the vehicle is 100% before you buy it. Find a good dealer and document any problems, don't be rushed. Check for damaged interior plastic parts. This van drives great. Like a car. It's fun to drive and offers most of the comforts of a car.
