    2005 Toyota Matrix - XRS (M6) FWD

Pros: #1.The seats feel like sitting in a chair. #2 .Plus storage features.

Cons: The steering wheel too far to reach.

    Advice: None

I liked everything about the Matrix except for a couple things. The steering wheel seemed too far away.I would eventually get shoulder or arm cramps. And the cargo area would be too slippery without mats or carpet. I don't care for the tie down 'security knobs' (I don't know the correct name) being located almost in the center of the cargo area. If those items were changed, it would be the perfect car for me and I would buy one immediately. The sticker said it was 4 wheel drive. Isn't it really an all wheel drive?

    2005 Toyota Matrix - Base (M5) FWD

    Pros: Roomie

    Cons: Poor power

Advice: If you have to keep your cost under 15k this is a great buy.

I found the car very sluggish, poor handling and the engine screams like a cat getting it's tail pulled. I did like it's roominess. Milage was amazing. Not bad for an automatic, ac and CD for under 14k. high insuance for a car in this class, for some reason. If you don't want power, or a quiet ride, probably a good buy. But I spend a lot of time on the freeway, and need something with a smoother, quieter ride.

    2005 Toyota Matrix - XR (M5) FWD

Pros: Very roomy, even for a tall person. Lights blink when locked no annoying horn sound.

    Cons: Nothing

Advice: Take it for a test drive. It has more room than it appears, try it.

Love my Matrix. It is fun to drive and the seating room is great for a smaller car. Plenty of room in the back seat also. I really like the split fold down seat in the rear for extra cargo, and it leaves one seat for a passenger. It has a great stereo system with quality speakers. Gas mileage is about 24-26 just around town. Great handling even in snow, with front wheel drive model. Everything is easy to reach and use: stereo, cruise, lights, wipers. Removable trash storage is nice. Very attractive car. Lots of room for extra stuff in the console with 2 compartments. Easy CD storage. Just a neat car!!

    2004 Toyota Matrix - Standard (M5) FWD

Pros: The factory stereo is fabulous

Cons: Sometimes it felt like I was driving something out of the jetsons.

Advice: The base model is great

I drove my base model 2004 Matrix coast to coast three times and have no complaints. Me and my Matrix braved a Vermont winter, the following fall and early winter in Jackson Hole Wyoming, and a few months worth of city living in San Francisco before I smashed it into a telephone pole and walked away without a scratch. I loved my matrix, and miss it dearly.

    2005 Toyota Matrix - XR (M5) FWD

Pros: I like the looks, the interior room, and decent gas mileage.

Cons: The cover over the trunk area.

    Advice: It's a buy!

A fun car to drive! Plenty of pep and very solid. Have had my XR for 2 months now, and zero quality/build problems. I find the seats very comfortable, but the steering wheel feels a bit far away for my wife. Our two daughters (one teenage) have plenty of room in the backseat. Enough storage room for us all to go on a long weekend trip with all our stuff. It's been great. With automatic, we've been getting 29-33 mpg.

    2005 Toyota Matrix - XR (M5) FWD

Pros: The wheecovers and the floodlights.

    Cons: I liked everything

Advice: It is a definite yes!

The ride was ultra smooth and the car is very steady and safe. I found that it had alot of horsepower. It takes corners very smooth and the turns are awesome. I was driving to West Palm and it felt like I was going 45 mph, when I looked at the speedomotor I was going 80 mph it is very quiet and smooth riding. I love my Matrix XR.
