Pros: space in the trunk
Cons: none love all the toyota cars
Advice: noneGreat car
Pros: The looks!
Cons: Cloth interior - getting leather put in next week
Advice: Don't fall in love with the local dealer - make them compete!!Tested the Avalon, Camry, and the 4Runner and just couldn't get out of the 4Runner - it just kept on calling my name.
Advice: Test drive all the SUV's and trucks and decide what you want most for the money...reliability is always #1 with Toyota.Have previously owned 4 Tacomas...Very reliable...never had any problems...Test drove a 2006 limited 4 runner and found it more comfortable with extra ammenities...it's worth the price...Afterall, it's a Toyota. We now are proud owners of the 2006 4Runner.
Pros: SMOOTH RIDE
Cons: A BIT OF RATTLE IN THE OVERHEAD GLASSES CASE
Advice: I WOULD SPEND MY MONEY ON A 4RUNNER AGAIN. .I BOUGHT MY 4RUNNER IN NV AND DROVE IT HOME TO MO. I LOVE THE POWER/RIDE AND GAS MILAGE FOR A TRUCK. CROSSWINDS ARE A SMALL PROBLEM (JUST KEEP YOU EYES ON THE ROAD AND HANDS ON THE WHEEL.)I LOVE THIS SUV, THE ONLY THING IS THAT I DON'T NEED A TAPE DECK!!! MIGHT AS WELL BE AN 8TRACK PLAYER!
Pros: up hill assist.
Cons: The SR5 model doesnt offer leather
Advice: Best buy all around, Truck gets and deserves lots of respect.I bought a new 4Runner in July of 2005. Great truck, it got the 4.7 V8. The truck handles very good, is very quick at all ranges of the rpm and seems to get smoother and smoother every day. The V8 sounds perfect it feel like a medium bulit man with bruce lee power and ability. The ride on all types of roads is great and soft. I have taken mine in the sand dunes of Pismo Beach. truck has many high tech features that make its 4WD ability even better. I was about to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee but then fell in love with the 4runner. it gains much more respect then other SUVS in this range. Has really good appeal and resale Value. LOVE THE TRUCK
Pros: The 4Runner exudes quality; the Japanese still hammer us Americans and our domestic vehicles.
Cons: High step in and running boards don't really help with ingress or egress.
Advice: Rent one for a few days before you buy and you will be sold like I was.Recently rented a 4Runner while visiting Arizona(rented in Phoenix, drove to Grand Canyon for 3 day visit). This was my first experience with a 4 Runner; I have always been an Explorer owner. I was very impressed by the quality of the 4Runner. Excellent ride for a truck based SUV, very good noise suppression, good acceleration from the standard V6, even at altitude. Great interior. My wife loved this vehicle also. Next purchase will definitely be a 4Runner.
Cons: Not very many features...but not a biggy!
Advice: Defienetly look into a 4 Runner. I purchased a used one....1 because I couldn't afford a new one and 2 because you actually lose if you purchase any vehicle new.I absolutely LOVE my 4 Runner. I am so glade that me and my husband decided to go with this. My mother-in-law purchased a new one in 2004 and we have driven hers in Colorado (we are from Texas) and we loved the way that it drove and how smooth of a ride it was. Hers is a V8 and we purchased a V6 and can't tell a difference. The V6 has pleny of go for us and we don't do much pulling. We didn't even consider any other vehicles. I would recommened test driving one to anybody. My 4 Runner is for sure worth what I paid for it!
