Very smooth and stable on the road. Steering control is excellent. Great value for money. Drawbacks: Ordinary looks, does not handle minor road bumps very well.

    2003 Suzuki XL-7 - LTD (A4) 4x4

Pros: Love the radio control on the steering wheel (6 CD in dash), Appreciate the availability of 4x4, and the 3rd row seating (plus 7yr/100,000 warranty)

Cons: Lack of High RPM Torque. Once you're up to speed say 65 mph getting to the next level takes time. The Low end Torque is OK.

Advice: Use all that extra cash you saved for your home

The dealer we dealt with was excited not pushy. The car was surprisingly appealing with Wood trim, leather, 6 CD in Dash, heated seats. The sizing felt RIGHT, not too big and not too small. On the road it handled well, the driving position is nice. Just enough of everything you that you look for, with the storage, cupholders and 12-volt plugs. My wife has'nt driven my G20 since we purchased the XL-7. And she never drove our Mazda MPV so its not the size or driving position. I was surprised by it initially upon our first look but it well worth the look, we went back to the dealer ready to buy and did. We've been stopped and asked questions, How do we like it, looks nice, Wow it does blah, blah, blah.

    2003 Suzuki XL-7 - LTD (A4) 4x4

Pros: Audio controls on steering wheel.

Cons: My right knee rubs against the center console; but I am 6'3'.

Advice: The third row looks small from the outside, make sure you actually crawl back there and sit like you would if you were riding there. Plenty of room.

We were fortunate enough to test drive in a storm and the XL-7 performed beautifully. This was after the dry run, which also went well. Handling is quick and responsive. You can hardly feel the potholes in the road, and noise is minimal.

    2002 Suzuki XL-7 - Limited (A4) 4x2

Pros: The seating capacity and volume of cargo space.

Cons: Plastic buttons and knobs for unfolding back seats.

Advice: This is a great buy. With 0% interest, it's unbeatable.

Ride is excellent both on the freeways and service streets. Paralle parking the vehicle could be a challenging experience. I guess that would be true for most SUV's.

    2003 Suzuki XL-7 - LTD (A4) 4x4

Pros: The optional 4 wheel drive/Safety Ratings

Cons: Terrible gas milage and too small of a fuel tank

Advice: Be prepared for frequent trips to the gas station!!

This is my first SUV and the drive is very comfortable. The XL-7 is easy to drive and fabulous in the snow. I feel safe and in control when using the 4 w/d option in blizzard conditions. The safety ratings compare great with other SUV's which are priced subtantially higher. The XL-7 does not have all of the bells and whistles of a luxury SUV, but I got what I needed and most of what I wanted in the XL-7 Limited.
