2003 Suzuki XL-7 - Touring (M5) 4x4
Pros: The ride
Cons: The tire problem
Advice: Be careful and check out the high performance tires that come with the vehicleIt drives great. However we are experiencing a problem with tires. We are now on the 4th set and still having problems. We are waiting to hear from the district rep. We are told you have to have the expensive tires. Please do your homework. The front end is not aligned correctly on this vehicle. They thought they had it fixed and here we are again needing new tires in less than a year.
2002 Suzuki XL-7 - Plus (M5) 4x4
Pros: heated side mirrors
Cons: the x l 7
Advice: dont buy it. Suzuki does not stand behind thier product, leaving you to deal with all its imperfections.Squeeky front end. Shifted belt in tire made the ride bumpy as a gravel road with potholes. My knees were in my chest driving. Four wheel drive didnt shift in easily.
2005 Suzuki XL-7 - EX (A5) 4x4
Pros: size/price/rooom/ 3rd row seat/
Cons: nothing as of yet
Advice: price to size was very goodIt held the road well and tight in 4wd a bit more noise in 2wd it was roomey enough with 4 persons but yet to try with 2 more in back.
2004 Suzuki XL-7 - EX (A5) 4x4
Pros: Heated outside mirrors & seats
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: Take one out for a test drive, you'll be impressed.Purchased my XL-7 EX October 2003. I drove just about any SUV available on the market and was leaning towards a Mercury Mountaineer until I saw an '04 Red XL-7 on the mall concourse. I had to walk around it twice I was so impressed. Within 2 weeks I was driving my red XL-7. This vehicle is clearly under rated by the critics. I can't believe the options included on the EX model. I love coming out on a cold morning to heated leather seats and heated outside mirrors. It's been over a year since my purchase and I still love this SUV!
2004 Suzuki XL-7 - LX w/3rd Row (A5) 4x4
Pros: Third row seat
Cons: Fuel Economy not great 19mpg + or -
Advice: Get a year end model with the good Suzuki rebates.I bought a new 2004 XL-7 4wd model. 1st of all, the price and available rebates made this vehicle very affordable compared to other brands. The XL-7 exhibits good detail in its fit and finish. There are no squeeks or rattles, the seats are very comfortable, and the controls are excellent and high quality. The XL-7 drives a little stiff which is typical of a small Japanese SUV. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing..as the whole car is just very tight. It is quiet on the road, and handles great. I could not be happier with my purchase. If I could make one wish would be that Suzuki offer this model with a strong 4cyl engine that would boost its fuel efficieny.
2004 Suzuki XL-7 - EX w/3rd Row (A5) 4x2
Pros: All features that come with the EX III trim.
Cons: No power driver seat, no space for CDs, or change holder
Advice: Make sure you test drive this car. Main reason we bought was the test driveTest drove with spouse, newborn, 6 year old, stroller and we fit. For a family of four this car was a perfect fit. We already own a Ford Expedition but needed something smaller for work and to get around town. We still travel with Expedition.
2002 Suzuki XL-7 - Limited (A4) 4x4
Pros: Ride,price,sound systems and leather
Advice: Hard to beat the priceJust bougth one 2004. You will love the price. Third row seat is great if you have kids otherwise opt out and save your money. A lots of suv for the money. Get leather seated EXIII. Sound system is great with sub woofer and 6cds changer built in.
