2006 Suzuki Verona - Luxury
Pros: Interior styling
Cons: Front end suspension and brake system noise.
Advice: Wait until 2007. maybe they will improve the front end noise problem. The test drive was an excellent experience. Once the vehicle I purchased began to 'break in' it was a different story. The front end suspension and brake system became very noisey. The dealership stated that it was normal operation of the vehichle. When challanged about the fact that it did not make those noises at test drive or for the first couple thousand miles they stated that it was just breaking in.
2004 Suzuki Verona - LX
Pros: Outside temp
Cons: Hmmm... I love this car... maybe the remote locker... it chirps rather than beeps I guess...
Advice: Definitely worth the money!Never had a single problem with my verona and have had it now for over 6 months. Only maintenence I have had to do was change the oil! Brought it on a couple trips now too. Put almost 10,000 miles on it and had NO problems...
2004 Suzuki Verona - EX
Pros: The drive (when it's running properly) and the design
Cons: The stalling issue, the Suzuki dealerships in Florida that seem intent on letting people drive an unsafe vehicle
Advice: Don't buy this car. This car has been a problem from nearly the beginning. We bought is brand new in March 04. We had to have the driver side window replaced, the wiring on our steering wheel is wrong so the controls don't work properly and even though its been in the dealership twice for that problem, they still can't seem to fix it. And as was mentioned in this forum and many, many others. My car is stalling/shutting down completely. Sometimes you can feel it coming, other times it just cuts off without warning. The car doesn't like to sit in traffic. I am scared to death to drive it. It cut out on me yielding into traffic yesterday with my 2 year old in the back seat. After two times in the shop for this problem as well, I'm at a loss. The diagnostic report from the dealership each time tells us that they could find nothing wrong with the car. Unbelieveable. They reset the computer and once the car learned my pattern of driving over again, the problems with the stalling started all over again, only now on a fast-track. The dealership is trying to give me no recourse. I don't trust the car and I want out of it. According to florida law, we can do that within two years after many times of having it in the shop for the same problem, so we'll see. I will also try what the gentlman before my posting tried...going to the Attorney General of Florida. Please don't buy this car. Maybe the newer models are built better, but I wouldn't risk it. Good warranty or not.
2004 Suzuki Verona - EX
Pros: Ride and feel.
Cons: Gas milage is weak.
Advice: There are still new 2004's out there. Great deals await!I was shocked that Suzuki offers such a fine option to the Camry, Altima and Accord. The price was way below the competition and the quality is as good.
2005 Suzuki Verona - EX
Pros: It was a great looking car.
Cons: The transmission, the gas mileage, the whole performance was a joke.
Advice: BUYERS BEWARE!!! THIS IS NOT A GOOD CAR, EVEN THE SUZUKI MECHANICS TOLD US SO.I could write a book about my horrible experiences with my 2004 Suzuki Verona. I have also owned Hondas before and now I know why I went back. In a synopsis of my problems in a BRAND NEW FIRST TIME OWNER Verona: the heating hose was bad and hot air came in all the time, rattling in the back of the car due to non tighten bolts, a loud clunk every time I stopped or turned; ended up replacing the lower arm controls and bushings-in a brand new car, radio steering wheel controls were wired wrong, gas mileage was horrible, and the number one thing to go wrong.. car would die in the middle of traffic, and when I put my foot on the gas pedal it did nothing. I had it in over 6 times and they said they fixed it each time, the ECU that is. I finally had enough and went to the Attorney General of Washington, filed a complaint against Suzuki and they bought my car back from me. I am now a proud owner of a 2005 Honda Civic. Love that car. So for those of you having issues, there still is hope. File a complaint and make sure you document EVERYTHING. Good Luck!!
