Advice: Decide before you buy this SUVYes I did it is ok. 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara LX 4WD Hi guys, I had no heat in my car after the huge snow storm. It’s been a week since I brought it back to the dealer with the problem. The dealer said it’s my heating blower went bad. Suzuki doesn’t have him in the stock and they were back order. Nobody knows when the part will be in and when I will have heat in my car. The dealer said that I was the fourth person to come in with the same issue. Since I am not the only one having this problem to me this seems to be a recall issue. I just want to let everybody know.
Pros: Hard to name just one! The manual transmission shifts smoothly, good power, the instrument panel has a great design with crisp, white on black numbers, well placed. The seats are comfortable, very roomy interior, and a hard cargo cover is standard.
Cons: Not as many interior storage compartments as other SUVs, and clock/temperature/mileage display is red on black, a little hard to read.
Advice: Go for it! You'll love it. Excellent quality at an affordable price, and Suzuki dealers don't have the Toyota and Honda attitudes.I test drove the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, and finally, the Suzuki Grand Vitara. I've driven Toyotas for nearly 20 years, keeping each car almost 10 years. The newer RAV4s, my first choice, no longer offer a 5 speed manual, and that was a requirement. Suzuki seems to be the best kept secret in the auto world. I thought they only made motorcycles and Sidekicks. The Grand Vitara drives extremely smooth (I haven't gone off roading yet), is very comfortable, feels solid, looks great, has a beautiful interior, great warranty and safety features, and the quality of Suzuki is right up there with Toyota and Honda.
Pros: BEING CHEATED BY SUZUKI MOTORS
Cons: THE RAW DEAL

Pros: No keys! Lighted display is beautiful! Awesome sound system.
Cons: Need air vents in back.
Advice: Great buy!!Have had several SUVs and this has been the best. It gives better milage(smaller engine of course). Love that you don't need keys on hand. Handles well. I think I got an awesome deal for the price. Best, you can't beat the warranty(no more extended warranty). Test drive it, you'll love it.
Pros: Great looks, more power, better ride like a car even though 4wd SUV With all the features and loaded
Cons: Rear axel comes with solid drum no disk brakes. Rear seats not enough legroom and the ride is little bumpy.
Advice: Rear axel comes with solid drum no disk brakes. Rear seats not enough legroom and the ride is little bumpy.Awesome interior, great price, nice V6/4WD combo, good looks, best warranty! I just got the new Grand Vitara Luxury edition on 9/25/06. I am very impressed with the handling and performance of the '06 Vitara. Amenities inside are amazing! I got mine with all the toys! Leather, sunroof, 17in wheels Keyless entry' 'Handling, appearance, quality interior' Grand Vitara luxury interior with all great standard stuff It had V6, 4WD, real truck/tank-like built & frame, keyless entry (wife loves), and nice looks. Smooth quiet ride and has neat power thrust button for automatics (puts 'sport' back in SUV). Compact body is important if you live in upstate NY. As I street park in a big city like Albany, The off-road capabilities useful for unplowed streets and deep potholes (city approved). There is no other compact SUV with same off-road, V6, 4WD, comfort and style for the price. This vehicle is in a unique class with no competitors for the price, true off-road, V6, and 4WD. I fell in love with driving again. I am 5'11'' and thought I might find its width tight, yet more I drive it, more I like it. It is really is a great ride. My wife whips around in this car, so that tells you a lot about its safe built-like a tank feel and ride, since she never did that with 4-cylinders
Pros: The great 4wd system, and audio sustem.
Cons: Lack of cargo space (with seats up)
Advice: Drive it, you'll buy it. I traded my Honda Element for it!Drove great, seat fits my big butt, the drive sold it.
Pros: Steering wheel controls, Full Size Spare, 4wd,
Cons: No Fog lights on base model, I guess i get what I pay for but i am very happy with it anyway
Advice: Buy the car. The price is well worth the product, just the warranty makes it worth itOil smell at first i wasn't told about it but it doesn't bother me, my girlfriend can't even smell it. The car is nice for the price unlike everyone else I got no bells or whistles. I can't complain the car is a nice car and i got it for a great price. The ability for me to own a car like this at my age says alot about the company. I am 20 years old the dealership (Suzuki of Vernon, CT) worked around my budget, found me the cheapest insurace, and bent over backwords to make it work for me. The complaints on gas mileage I don't understand. I am carefull with gas prices beging high not to step on it and I average 23 mpg around town.
