2004 Suzuki Forenza - S (M5)
Pros: spacious back seat
Cons: no sunroof
Advice: only get it if you fall completely in love with it the first time you look at it, not drive itthe test drive was great but after the car was purchased it started falling apart little by little
2003 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5) FWD Hatchback
Pros: Small size, price
Advice: Short term (less than two years) buy.Front lower bumper is weak and comes apart, the brakes shudder and grind (although they've been replaced 4 times), cd player doesn't work, the steering wheel shudders over 65 mph, the electrical system died and had to be replaced and had to obtain a totally new engine -- all with a little over 3 years of ownership.
2007 Suzuki SX4 - Sport (M5)
Pros: Keyless entry/start
Cons: No arm rest and the gas tank is to small
Advice: Give it a shot. You won't be dissapointed.I have had the SX4 for about 2 weeks and I'm really glad I made the purchase. I have been averaging 27 mpg. I like the 3-mode AWD. The best thing is you don't need a key to open or start the vehicle just place the transmiter in your pocket and thats it,no fumbling with remotes or keys. The sound system is great, it really kicks out the tunes. It is comfortable enough to take on long trips and is just a fun car to drive. This car is also loaded with every saftey feature you can think of.
2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara - Base (M5) 4x4
Cons: adjustable drivers seat. Its Loose on its track.
Advice: Shake the drivers seat to see if its loose.I have 3000 miles on my base 4wd model and am very impressed with all the standard features (radio controls on the steering wheel, ESP, MP3,...) you get for the money. It also goes like hell in the snow although MPG suffers (it went from 16+ city to 14.5 with snow on the pavement. My only real complaint is the mounting of the drivers seat which is loose and makes noises when you turn. I believe it is an engineering flaw because you can grab a hold of it from outside the car and shake the seat. I went back to the dealer and they all shake. I also asked them to ask suzuki north america to come up with a fix but have heard nothing yet. I love this vehicle but the driver seat pisses me off. If you have the same problem please complain and maybe they will do something about it.
2006 Suzuki XL-7 - Base 4x4
Pros: the style
Advice: call your insurance agent first.this car jackks up your premium.I was pushed into this car by a salesman wanting to make his quota. When driving 65 mph the car feels like it is going to turn over,I feel unsafe in this car.It is top heavy and my insurance went up 50.00 a month because it has a crash test rating of 16!!!!!!!!!!! I originally wanted a saturn vue but was told it was too cheap and the dealership could not work with me.
2005 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5) FWD Hatchback
Pros: The stereo system
Cons: Everything else
Advice: Stay clear, buyer beware, the trade in value is horrible, ive lost almost 10,000 dollars on it already.I have had my Aerio for less than 2 years and have had to replace my tires 3 times aleady because the way the car is made it wears extremely fast on the rear tires from the outside tread in. Suzuki claims it is a tire problem, and tht the Yokohomo tires that come stock are terrible, but I have had 3 different types of tires on this thing, and they all go bald around 7,000 miles. Also, uncontrollable shaking from the steering wheel above 60 is another common problem myslef and other owners are experiencing. If you want to spend a fortune on new tires all the time, this is the car for you.
2007 Suzuki Reno - Base (M5)
Cons: wish mileage was better than 27 mpg
Advice: bargain - they'll sell for under 10K easilyFun to drive and handles well. Good pickup and very maneuverable in traffic at all speeds. Good warranty, tires for life, excellent service from dealership.
