    2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara - (M5) 4x4

Pros: Loaded with options that the competition couldn't provide at 20K

Cons: Smaller cargo room than others in class... but test drove them all and found a quirk with all of them.

Advice: Your looking to save $, but n ot quality... This is it... Many options. Test drive this before you buy a competitor. If you don't need a great deal of room, you might like it.

Exterior is good looking, great metallic paint (red) with side body cladding. Easy step in height with good clear view from all windows with no obstructions. Steering was the best of any test drove; responsive and tight turning circle with little noticed roll to body in turns. Ride is smooth and quiet on city roads. Suspension and frame built to take off-road so a harsh bump is felt a bit more, but thats the trade off for better off road capabilities. 4 wheel drive H on the fly with low 4wd capabilities make it competitive with all other true off road suv's. Seats soft cloth with aluminum trim dash will catch the eye. Once you see the competition at 20k you'll be shocked at what Suzuki has put into the package, you won't have to skimp on those options you want. I got ABS, Alloy, Sub-woofer, power everything & cruise control, still under the price of Escape, Liberty & VUE that all when these options added, priced them out of what I was willing to pay. I did have to give up some room. Cargo space is less than the competition, but if not important element, then you must test this product. The Grand Vitara is the best selling suv in central PA (where I'm writing this from). Good searching!

    2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara - JLX (M5) 4x4

Pros: my favorite feature is the automatic lights and rear wipers

Cons: hubcaps on tires are plain

Advice: if you arelooking for an affordable suv with all the features, this is it!!!

I purchased the Grand Vitara v6 2 weeks ago. So far I must say I am very satisfied. It is an affordable SUV. (paid 18,800 total). I think the wheels caps could look nicer. And the cargo area is small. So is the legroom in the back. For a v6 think it should have a quicker take off . I am always afraid of flip over with an SUV. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rated this vehicle very safe. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it.

    2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara - JLX (M5) 4x4

Pros: Appearance and the smooth ride. Also has nice pick up on acceleration.

Cons: The arm rests are far too short. It would also be nice to have some covered storage in between the front seats.

Advice: I really liked the idea of having an SUV but I didn't want one the size of a semi truck. The Grand Vitara allows me to have the power and security of an SUV but in a size that's much more comfortable for me.

It had great handling and turning capabilities along with a smooth ride and giddyup. The seats were incredibly comfortable and everything is in easy reach.

    2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara - JLX (M5) 4x4

    Pros: Performance

    Cons: Cargo Space

Advice: Consider automatic unless you like a lot of shifting

Purchased in '99 my 'Planet Gold' Zuk now has 80K meter and is running strong a new. 5 Speed delivers av. 24mpg. Only repair was oil leak @ 75K in trans seal. Tow my twin engine jet boat over the Cascades with no problem. Handles like a 'Go Kart'. Paint, interior is holding well. Solid little truck thats fun to drive. The XL7 solves cargo issues and added rear seat room. A great value.
