Our First Subaru - Best Car Yet
Pros: Riding in the Car, Well desinged suspension!
Cons: Radio controls, the actual system sound is superSo much thought went into this vehicle, from design, dashboard detail, ride and comfort, great drive control, excellent power, but VERY low on noise, beautiful interior, spacious, it just goes on and on, the sound systems, once you read the directions for use, is actually spectacular, could use a little more user friendliness in that realm, and the fact that this little car is so solidly built, super 18' wheels...We'll my wife and I would love to meet the designers and thank them personally for this car! Couldn't have designed one better for us. Perfect!
I adore my new Subaru
Pros: The way it clings to the road when it drives! It is SO fun to drive!
Cons: Gas mileage could be better.I recently purchased a new Subaru Outback Sport, trading in an old truck that was really having issues. This car has a smooth ride and is zippy and fun to drive. It turns corners on a dime and for a small car has lots of room on the interior. The only thing I don't really like about it is the gas mileage. It really doesn't get the best mileage for a small car, but I guess that is the trade-off for the AWD, which I know I'll be glad to have come winter with its ice and snow. I looked at lots of cars and drove quite a few. This little Subaru was the only one in it size class that felt solid and sturdy.
Pros: All Wheel Dirve
Cons: Back seat a tad small
Advice: If you want a compact versatile fun car, spend a few thousand more and get a subaruAll wheel drive, 165 hp engine, cool styling and 2 tone paint, securtity system, all power features, alloy rims, ABS, rugged suspension, and discs on all corners make this vehicle cool, fun, safe, and versatile. Tons of storage for a small wagon and the feeling inside is open and expansive due to a low cowl line and a relatively tall body style. Finally, subaru have a history of being reliable. Put all these things together and this is one great vehicle.
Pros: 4WD - A lot of snow last winter - Over 100 inches in CT
Cons: Very noisy engine at cold temperature
Advice: Lease it don't buy itOk car, very very noisy engine in the morning (cold engine - winter & summer) The problem goes away after 15 miles of driving. For sure I will have problem when time to resale the car. Using oil 10-30 instead of 5-30 (as recommeded by the manual) does reduce some noise level. Design problem (piston & lifter) I will think twice before buying another Subaru. My old Ford escort sounds better in the morning.
Pros: All wheel drive makes the car feel glued to the road.
Cons: Automatic transmission really saps the power.
Advice: Get the manual - it's a blast to drive.Friends and family insisted that Subarus were very poor cars. They couldn't be more wrong. The Outback Sport (Impreza Outback) is not only affordable, it's got all-wheel drive, a peppy 165 horsepower, standard air, standard CD-player and it's an absolute blast to drive! Be sure to get a manual, though, as the automatic feels much weaker for some reason. Since I'm a big guy I needed the extra head and leg room offered by the Outback model, and it's very comfortable. After test driving the manual Impreza Outback, I was sold.
Pros: all wheel drive
Cons: the price was a bit steep
Advice: Drive it!The outback had great power! It's comfortable, elegant and handles easily. It is a great combination of luxury car and SUV.
