    2006 Scion xA - (M5)

Pros: Value of the standard features

Cons: Plastic door panels and dash

Advice: Have it undercoated to reduce road noise, search the internet before buying to find a car with just the options you want. The dealer can add alot of the options at the regular option price.

Fun car to drive. I have a little over 600 miles on the car with complete satisfaction other than the gas mileage is running only about 33 mpg. I bought the Scion Xa strickly for commuter car to work; but my wife and 17 year old son love to drive it. This car will never be labeled as 'looser cruiser'.

    2006 Scion xA - (M5)

Pros: Audio steering wheel controls, Comfortable seats, Center mounted speedometer, Turn indicators on side mirrors, 160 watt CD/MP3/iPod Stereo, Standard ABS

Cons: 103 horsepower engine, Standard wheel covers

Advice: A great first car for first time car loan (Depending on the sticker price. Cheap monthly payments through Toyota Motor Credit), Cheap to fill up ($21.50 at $2.15 a gallon)

The xA drove like a dream for what it offers. I fell in love with it in a second once I got to test drive it on the interstate. The drive was smooth and fun to drive especially going 75 mph. Braking is quite quick and responsive. People have complained about nosey engine humming but I very much like to hear it since I feel like I'm driving Japanese sports car. Only major issue I have with the xA, is the poor acceleration especially getting on any interstate on ramps trying to out speed a semi-trailer truck when the truck can not lane change to middle lane. Other than that, I brought the xA that I test drove and never had major mechanical problems. I love my xA very much, I'm even thinking of purchasing the xB.

    Pros: good looks

    Cons: center mounted instruments

Advice: get rid of those wheel covers and get a now Toyota/Scion remote entry system (for around $100)

Excellent package for the price! I am over 50 and what a great, fun car. I added some alloys and the spoiler. Just because you aren't 20 something, doesn't mean you can't be cool! Pros: Looks great, really good gas mileage, fun to drive. Cons: Should have a less expensive keyless entry and a telescoping steering wheel to go along with the tilt.

    Pros: The Options

    Cons: geared weird

Advice: Buy it!!! This car is great for the value

I love my xA! I bought this car about 2 months ago and I just love it. Incredible gas mileage, decent handling, good sound system, comfortable seats. They look so tiny yet there is sufficient head room. My only complaint is that on the highway you feel like you need another gear. My roommate/friend liked it so much he went out and got one too!

    Pros: Handling

    Cons: Lack of cruise control

Advice: Expect a reliable, cute, cost-efficient little car....and enjoy it!

Peppy around town, a bit less so with AC engaged (but it's an automatic). Cruises easily @ 65 MPH. Decent comfort (not as bumpy a ride as a Miata)! Great quality and gas milage. Handy for surprisingly large items (with back seats folded down). However, you'll miss the (not available) cruise control on interstate driving. A lot for the money!!!

    Pros: Styling

    Cons: Air condioning vent

Advice: Go for it. You will save gas and join the unique family of Scion owners. We all rock.

I researched cars for two years prior to buying my Scion Xa and let me say, I LOVE THIS CAR !!! I am asked on a weekly basis about how much it cost, what the MPG is and where you can buy one. The unique styling makes it stand out in the crowd of sedans and monster SUVS on the road today. I was also surprized by just how big it is on the inside. If you fold the back seats down there is ample space for large items. I also love the fact that you are seated higher up than in other cars. That means that I am on the same eye level with people in trucks and SUVs and have a much better view of what is around me. And remember this car has all Toyota parts meaning that you get Toyota quality with unique style and at a cheaper price. The one thing that I do not like is that the right hand air conditioner/heating vent is directly behind the stearing wheel so the air is blocked and your hand is either freezing or burning up.

    2006 Scion xA - (M5)

    Pros: Looks

    Cons: Overall quality

    Advice: Buy something else

At 200 miles got car washed and air dryer caused spoiler to vibrate so much pieces fell off and had to have spoiler taken off and rebolted to car, plus having to wait almost a month for parts. At 1800 miles bolt fell off cowling under engine while driving on interstate. Cowling then hit highway from air pressure and tore it up. Went to dealer and was told bolts falling off and damage caused by cowling hitting raod were not covered by warranty. So far this has been the worst car I have ever owned!
