2005 Porsche 911 - S RWD Cabriolet
Cons: small switches
Advice: drive the car on the open road and feel it's excellence.amazing car.Best all around sports car in the world bar none.Take a ride in one and I'm sure you'll agree.Don't let reviews with BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK confuse you. This is a car you keep for 20 YEARS.Do yourself a favor go for the extra bucks your worth it!
2005 Porsche Boxster - S (M6)
Pros: Fun to drive-engine and transmission
Cons: CD-changer. No random play between discs(picky, but you asked)
Advice: Buy it - not a great 'value' but I'm glad my common sense lost out to my love for the car.Drives like no other car I have ever owned. Great handling, acceleration(6-speed), engine sounds and overall fun to drive. I have owned a 98 Corvette and 04 350Z . The Boxster S shines in comparison. The only thing better is a 911.
2005 Porsche 911 - AWD Cabriolet
Advice: go for it! its deffinately worth itAfter riding in this car its easy to see why people love this car so much. Its a smooth ride, strong engine, and incredible over all speed.
2004 Porsche Boxster - Base (M5)
Pros: the top comes down fast.
Cons: MY WIFE WANTS TO DRIVE IT.
Advice: buy it, you will be very glad you did.GREAT CAR LOTS OF FUN. ONE OF THE FEW THINGS IN LIFE THAT I GOT MORE THAN I EXPECTED. CORNERS FAST AND IS VERY SMOOTH AT HIGH SPEEDS 100+ . THE CAR LOOKS WONDERFUL STANDING STILL OR ON THE ROAD.LOTS OF CARGO SPACE TOO, I WAS SURPRISED.
2005 Porsche Boxster - Base (M5)
Pros: Triptonic transmisson (my other car had a manual).
Cons: Wish it came with a switch for passenger air bags
Advice: Try it, you'll like it...........The test drive was great, thrilling to be exact and I bought the car!!! It was just what I was looking for, seal gray metallic, Triptonic, etc. This is my 2nd Porsche and I AM a fan! The dealer was terrific and let me drive several cars, to make sure that the Boxster was the one I wanted. Remember, girls, this car is NOT just for a man.
2003 Porsche 911 - Targa RWD Coupe
Pros: Looks and Performance
Cons: the body and bumpers are EASY to damage from stone chips to dings from idiots
Advice: DRIVE IT!FAST FAST FAST !!! Hugs the road .. and Porsche has brought back the GREAT sound of the engine.. Not broken in yet so I can't tell what it will do when it IS... but so far WOW! This is now my ONLY car so I'll update the review as I go through winter.. I did buy a set of rims and snows to get me through .. NJ has some BAD snows sometimes.. BUT I expect NO problems.. We'll see how the quality holds up as time goes by. Porsche has lowered the maintenance costs by extending service intervals sooo it costs about the same as my Lexus did. I'll let you know how quickly I go through tires..
2003 Porsche Boxster - S (M6)
Pros: Sizzling performance, tenacious handling, legendary reputation.
Cons: Costly options make the car upwards of 50K , vulnarable to attack by low-life.
Advice: After driving the very much entertaining Boxster S, it's no wonder that the Porsche has so many fans. The car is loads of fun.Driven sedately, the muscle-bound Boxster S is docile and easy to drive. But stab the throttle and the car blasts through the first four gears like a roller coaster rushing downhill, with the urgent song of the flat six at full cry. Speed is reigned in quickly by easily modulated and incredibly powerful brakes that feel as though they could stop a semi in short order. The 'S' is equally at ease running through various turns, possessing dead neutral poise that belies the rear-engine architecture. The steering has a reassuring heft and plenty of feedback that allows one to easily settle into a rhythm. In the ugly reality of rush-hour traffic, however, one quickly realizes why so many people opt for automatics in their sports cars. Work the S's heavy clutch enough and you might expect your left leg to resemble Arnold's in his bodybuilding heyday. Fortunately, Porsche offers its Tiptronic-style automatic transmission as an option. So no excuses not to get on!
