    2005 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: how far the controls are just a touch away

    Cons: the sun visors

Advice: just think of having this for a long time and will it be big enoght for you. get a 5 speed

I like the test drive it was good. I just wish that i had a drink with me to see where the cup holders. They are not in a good place. You cant use the heating and cooling controls. With out moving the drink you have. I have only one really problem and that is a noise in the dash somewhere i had it at the shop 4 times the first they fix it but it came back and after that they can find the problem. The noise came around 10,000 miles. I hate it if the raido is not on you here it. Over all i like the car just wish i had bought a bigger one. I also got this 03 sunfuire with a great rebate and thats another reason I get it. It is really only comfortable if one person is in the front seat unless you both are small people. There is no head room if you have a tall upper body. And only enought arm rest room for one.

    2005 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: mirror adjuster, steering wheel, auto trunk release

Cons: engine, overall performance, wipers with washer, power steering, too much to list, etc.

    Advice: scale 1 to 10, 10 being outstanding vehicle..... I rate it a 4

2005 car has been the shop about 5-6 times over 1 mo. period for the same problem. Mechanics are stump. 4K miles on vehicle and only approx 3K when we bought it. Cleburne TX. I do not recommend this vehicle unless you love driving loaner cars/rental cars. Should have sued them for selling me a lemon. Should have gotten a German or Japanese model.

2002 Pontiac Sunfire - SE Coupe

    Pros: Body is decent

Cons: One thing after another breaks down in the vehicle

Advice: Don't buy this car unless you are ready for a headache

When I had the factory radio taken out and a custom one put in the warning sound that your lights are on ceased, the check engine light came on and the dealership shut it off twice saying there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and the light came back on that same day, the timing CHAIN, not belt, the CHAIN snapped on me at 40,000 miles on a 6 degree weather day with my 5 year old in the car with me which caused at least 3 valves to bend. Dealer ended up taking a month to repair the vehicle and now my ABS system is malfunctioning and causing my rear brake and tire to lock up, yet garage can not find a problem with it. I have to take it apart every 2 weeks to readjust the brake. The sunfire is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't buy this vehicle, it's garbage!

    2005 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

    Pros: xm satellite

Cons: the service from the seller (GM)

Advice: buy at your own risk and find stuff out from your extended warranty people!

I own it i drive it everyday now that it is at 69000 miles the fuel pump went out and it is costing me anywhere from $100.00 to $500.00 to fix it and better get every detail from your extended warranty before actually leaving with the car cause they will rip you off and oreilly said on these cars the fuel pump goes out at 60000 miles or around that .

    2004 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

    Pros: stereo, sunroof, just everything

    Cons: nothing

    Advice: good buy

I had my pontiac 2002 sunfire for a little over 3 months and was in love with it untill someone decided to pull out in front of me while i was traveling at 55 mph and totaled my car. The seatbelts worked great and the airbags were a live saver to me i went flying into a ditch and survived without a scratch on me. The emergency crew told me that i was very luck to come out of this accident alive and they could not believe it. I highly reccomend this vechile to anyone it is sweet and i loved it and should have a good crash test rating in my opinion for being a smaller car.

    2004 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

    Pros: Styling and economy

    Cons: Brakes and Suspension

Advice: It is a great buy in terms of reliabilty

Yellow coupe with 5 speed manual. It is not a BMW but it is lively enough for serious 2 lane commuting, great on gas (33-36mpg), comfortable up front, and gets more positive comments on stying than the Vet I owned years ago. AT almost 50,000 miles there have been 0 problems - something I can't say for other new cars I have owned in the past. Brakes and suspension not quite on par with the well balanced (but a bit noisy) drivetrain. A real buy for the $$.

    2005 Pontiac Sunfire - w/1SV

Pros: A surprisingly strong get-up and go ability for a low cost car

Cons: cupholders infront of climate controls is slightly annoying.

Advice: Test drive, get your options, and you wont be disapointed!

Great small car. Although it's the cheapest and lowest quality pontiac on the market, it can still bring a smile to your face! I bought the '05 sunfire because I love the pontiac name and it was my best option for my budget. With above average attributes and a strong styling statement, you'll get noticed. The performance compared to others such as the gto, mustang, etc, doesn't stand up obviously. But for the cost and respectable power of the ECOTEC engine, you can have some fun with it. Probably the best buy out there for low budgets and tuner freaks like myself!
