2006 Pontiac Torrent - FWD
Pros: My favorite feature is how the back seat moves 8inches forword and back and I love the storrage idea in the back.
Cons: I do not dislike anything on this car.
Advice: If you are looking at buying a torrent then consider the sport version because it has a better suspension then the base and thus it rides nicer. Was a nice ride better than it's cousin the equinox due to the sport suspension. Lots of cargo room for a mid size suv. Lots of leg room for all passengers.
2006 Pontiac Torrent - FWD
Pros: Interior room
Cons: rough ride and small cargo area
Advice: Good buy but can't take much with you. 20 mpg avg. nothing to shout about either. The Torrent looks good, ride is a little harsh and choppy on average roads, power is average but engine sound is annoying upon take off. Interior room was great though and seats were comfy, sporty looking in and out. Cargo area is narrow but adaptable. Overall a nice vehicle but nothing special as far as performance and ride quality. 2004 Pontiac Aztek - AWD
Pros: Lots of inside space
Cons: I can here the wheels turning in the rear and doesn't to me get good gas mileage
Advice: Nice SUV for the price and room.Had to get use to the funny shape of the rear windows
2004 Pontiac Aztek - FWD
Pros: tremendous interoir space, comfortable ride, great features
Cons: fuel mileage
Advice: look hard for a '03 or newer modelWhen i first saw the AWD Aztek on the lot, it's appearance took some getting used to; unusual shape to say the least. I got behind the wheel and WOW what a ride. I was hooked from then on. Tremendous amount of space inside, quiet ride, very comfortable seats, and many cool features. For instance; the center consol between the seats doubles as a cooler for cold drinks! An air compressor in the back for tires, balls, inflatable camping equipment. My wife and I love our 2004 Aztek. We also got a great deal saving over $8000 off a new on! Good luck in finding one..we did!!!
2005 Pontiac Aztek - AWD
Pros: lots of room inside; nice layout inside
Cons: maintain is expensive on the velicle
Advice: watch for the engine problemsI love the way it drives. It quiet and comfortable. The room on the inside is great exspecially with the slid out tray in the back for load things. However the condenser unit has a tendance to need replacing after the first year or two and if you are out of warrarty, it cost between $800 and $900 (I have heard of 6 of them this year). I also had a headlight cost $50 to replace because you have to remove the battery to do so.
2002 Pontiac Aztek - FWD
Pros: front console cooler
Cons: major problems
Advice: Don't buy this Lemon!Drives not bad, excepting for the 'howling' noise when it changes gears (normal sounds for this vehicle). Seats are really uncomfortabe and there's no support - like sitting on a bench. Had nothing but major problems with the Aztek in it's 3 years - head gasket (3.4 L engine), front bearings gone twice, fuel system, air con. Just found some rust starting in a few spots!! Really disliked the tailgat - hard to unload groceries. Glad I bought the extended warranty to 100,000 km). It's now at 94,000 km and I'm getting rid of this vehicle asap (even though I'm going to lose my shirt on it!). Liked all the room in back, the fact that the back seats come right out (although you need a gorilla to be able to lift them out), all the storage compartments, not bad sound system and the center console cooler (but that's about it). Also got tired of all the jokes about it's appearance!
2003 Pontiac Aztek - FWD
Advice: Go drive oneBest suv in class for the money.generuos amount of room, cool features like the cooler and rear integrated seats in the tailgate.Lots of packages to choose for for bikers to skiers.Shame this suv never caught on,all my friends rave about it .
