    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SA AWD

Pros: AWD Automaticaly when you need it else 2 wheel drive normal conditions .Lower side plastic trim-Paint Chip preventions

Cons: 3rd row headrests:Can't See too well in rear view mirror. Seats don't tilt easily for Entry. No curb handle to flip 2nd row seats, must reach in back and underneath.

Advice: Determine who will be entering vehicle in 3rd row, elderly may have trouble

Drove smooth, great turning radius. Have to get use to 'Drive by wire' as well as key insertion (Low resistance upon turning key). Kids the 'true' influence on purchasing vehicle. DVD, XM radio, head sets, storage areas all a plus. Selected 1SA over 1SB because like to open driver's door myself instead of pushing a button (besides was faster to retrieve items). AWD definite plus for North Easterners

    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SB FWD

    Pros: Standard DvD

Cons: rails for sliding doors visible

Advice: Don't get caught up in the stow & go until you see how comfortable these seats are. Test Drive you'll be glad you did

The SV6 is a stylish vehichle that gets alot of looks around town. The Kids love the standard DVD & rear climate controls. Fully loaded with people and luggage you'll notice a little sluggish on the highway. Low step in height & overall seat comfort are a joy especially on long trips.

    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SB FWD

    Pros: style

    Cons: quality

    Advice: try other makes first

I liked the appearance and the overall comfort of this vehicle. I do notice a whistling noise when you step on the gas and it is annoying. I have had our van less than a month and it has been to the dealer once already because the automatic passenger side door would not open. Two weeks after getting it fixed it will not open again so I have to take it back a second time. I am not over all happy with this van.

    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SB FWD

    Pros: Standard DVD player

Cons: Engine is way underpowerd for the vehicle size

Advice: Until they fix all of the bugs in this design

The ride is great and it's extrememly comfortable on long trips. However, the 200 HP V6 is severely underpowered and noisy at higher RPMs. It gets horrible mileage in the city (17-18 MPG), and so-so mileage on the highway (21-23 depending on how many mountains). It has some build quality issues as well. I have a 2 page list of things that are wrong for the dealer. All in all, it's nice, but for the money its quality is not up to par.

    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SB AWD

    Pros: Dvd system and controls

Cons: Not enough power points for accessories

Advice: Do not take media critics word for this vehicle, drive and judge for yourself.

This car rides smooth, bumps are well managed. It could use a little more power but it is acceptable. It has plenty of room for my families needs. The kids love the dvd system, which is a bonus for us, we usally use our laptops for that purpose. Controls are clean and simple. If you have doubts I suggest you read owners manual it is helpful. Bottom line is no vehicle is going to do everything for everybody, do your research and test drives and make up your own mind, you have to live with it not the media.

    2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SB FWD

    Pros: Captain's chairs

Cons: needs more adjustment on second row seats

Advice: The extra money for the dual sliding doors is worth it

Drives similar to a car, rides firm with air shocks, the four captain's chairs are the only way to go,unless u need the built in child seats.Good for those long trips,DVD keeps u from hearing THE same question from the kids.
