2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 - FWD
Pros: The exterior body style & the black dashboard and door material.
Cons: The interior material (gray cloth) is horrible. Even water stains the seats. It is definately not a child friendly interior. The second row seats also have no arm rests, so child car seats and even adults tip over when you round a corner.
Advice: If I were to purchase this type of van again, I would only purchase a leather interior. I probably would not purchase this type of vehicle again. I am disappointed in it. I am anxious for the pull-ahead program!!
The van handles well. It is somewhat 'loud' for a minivan. We had to have the brakes replaced twice by 16,000 miles. -
2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 - FWD
Pros: Interior design
Cons: Air vents only project straight forward. Driver and passenger only get air on sides of body.
Advice: Great looking family van.
Has great pick up. Not so good gas milage compared to the 2000 montana. Front suspension is a little noisey but, so was the 2000. -
2002 Pontiac Montana - w/1SA FWD Extended Passenger
Pros: AWD. Very Roomy. Extended length vehicle has great cargo carrying capabilities.
Cons: Quality is poor. Car has 75K miles and has required the following repairs; new transmission, replaced both front wheel bearings, new condensor, new rear wiper motor, new sensor for door, new radio 2 times, rear tail light filled with water, .....
Advice: Do not buy overall quality is poor.
Rides fine for a mini van. Acceleration is adequate. -
2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 - w/1SA AWD
Pros: the room and looks
Cons: haven't found anything yet
Advice: research all vehicals to make an educated desision
I loved it at first sight. It is the 2004 model. The ride is smooth, the engine has quite a bit of power, enough room for 6 in my family, runs quiet and everything operates as it should. I did get the extended warrenty just in case, but I would do that with any car. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!! Also we own a 95 Ford Taurus and a 86 ford ranger.
