    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GX

Pros: engine, amazing performance and economy

Cons: nit picking, plastic steering wheel

Advice: Try and buy used to get a depreciated vehicle but make sure it has warranty left to get any details the former owner might have not attended to

I should point out that I own a 2000 Gl but rented a 2002 ( made in March) GLX and drove it east of Regina, in Saskatchewan for 400 ks over 3 days. Still a solid well built car with a wonderful engine. Within the past week I have driven my daughters Jaguar Soverign and a rental Ford Focus. The Jags suspension is first class, getting in and out of the drivers seat is a real pain and the trunk is way down low. There is no grab handle for the passenger exiting! The Focus is noisy but nimble lacks electric windows for those non AC days when fresh air and light traffic make AC redundant. Back to the Intrigue quiet, nice easy to get comfortable electric seat, manual AC worked well even with windows partially open. Averaged 33mpg with cruising speeds up to 120ks. Missed the leather wrapped steering wheel. The spoiler makes for something extra to wash. I rented a Toyota Yaris in Ireland earlier this month as well as an Opel Corsa. The Yaris beat the Corsa in every dept especially seat comfort 1000cc gave 57 mpg and lots of pep it was great for narrow bumpy Rep of Ireland roads but I missed the Intrigues wheel base and comfort as well as the engine response on the open road. Petrol was $1.33 a litre rising to $1.95 a litre in Northen Ireland. The Intrigue is a sleeper, it's performance and comfort are excellent. It outperforms the 3.8L GM cars including the Holden which I drove in NZ for a week in April of this year

    2003 Oldsmobile Alero - GL1 Coupe

Pros: The dynamic styling and the way it handles.

Cons: Entry into the back seat on the coupe.

Advice: Its worth the investment !

Actually, I own a 1999 Alero GL coupe with a V6 3.4 engine. I Love it! I'm thinking about trading it in for a new one but I hate to give this one up!

2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Coupe

Pros: The GLS supreme sound system is one of the best stock stereos I have ever heard

Cons: Dependability. When you buy a new car you need to know it won't break on you with only 4,000 miles

Advice: This car is a good car for a younger group. Not so good for people who haul a bunch of things in their car

I've had 4 cars in my short driving career. One was a 1980 Thunderbird, one was a 1994 Cutlass Supreme, one was a 1996 Grand Am GT, and finally I bought this Brand New Alero GLS coupe with all the bells and whistles. I bought this car in April of 2002 and so far it's been in the shop for a total of 2 1/2 weeks, for power steering. Other than that it has been an excellent car. Four people took it on a 10 hour road trip, and it was surprisingly comfortable. If you fold down the back seat you can make sort-of bed and it is really a nice quiet car, and fun to drive.

    2002 Oldsmobile Bravada - AWD

Pros: The perforated leather seating. Top Quality!

Cons: No third row seating, but I don't think I would need it.

Advice: MSRP is a thing of the past....deal, deal, deal

My Bravada is just the right size and was by far, the most comfortable of all the SUV models I drove. The quality is top notch. For a large vehicle, the cornering and stopping ability is sports car like. I am looking forward to many years of driving pleasure.

2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Sedan

    Pros: on/off automatic headlights

Cons: rear seats dont stay in place.

Advice: Cant go wrong with this car..!!

A great car for anyone in the market for a nice midsize sedan or coupe. Comfortable interior, easy to use ergonomics, and good visability. Powertrain is excellent especially the V6, ample power and super quiet operation throughout powerband. Just a great car and a great value for anyone in the market for a good car.
