    2010 Nissan Rogue

    Better than most small vehicles

    Pros: Rear wiper and defroster

Cons: overhead visor - needs a light or mirror there

The vehicle is easy to handle, high gas mileage. The backseat sits up slightly so passengers can get a better view outside. Seats go down and I can carry alot more than if there was just a trunk. There seems to be on blind spot on the passengers side as I have had two occasions where I did not see a vehicle come up and my mirrors were set properly. Over all I rate it as good.

    2007 Nissan Xterra

    never again in this lifetime!

    Pros: getting rid of it

    Cons: all of it

I leased this xterra to pull my boat - and it was the worst idea I have ever had. I will never buy another Nissan ever! From the shady sales tactics, the 'take every drop of blood' lease contract, the shoddy & expensive servicing, the astronomically poor gas mileage (11mpg if that), to the cheap metal and finish. This truck offers absolutely no comfort or peace of mind. I was constantly staring at the gas gauge every minute as $30 flew out of my wallet almost daily. It was insane. I took the truck back to nissan a week after I leased it hoping to trade for a different vehicle - needless to say they wouldn't do it. I posted it on leasetrade.. still no luck. I have now grinned and bared it for 3 years.. waiting for the day to turn it in. NOW they want $500 just to return it, PLUS $$$ for normal wear & tear!! Before this I leased an Audi.. they made me feel like a king. Free service for 3 years, a loaner car any time it was needed.. I was in 7th heaven. I guess I must have done someone wrong to be throw directly into Nissan HELL this time. word to the wise... don't do it. There is NOTHING sporty about this suv. no sunroof, no nothing.. just a big stinky gas gussling tin can.

    2004 Nissan Murano

    Solid Family Transportation

    Pros: Luggage flexibility

Cons: Could have more roomy front seats but I am big also

The Murano has 135000 miles with no major repairs. The built in CD Player has a mechanical problem that needs attention. The gas mileage is 22MPG. The fold down back seats allow great flexibilty and maximum luggage capabilty. I would definitely buy another Murano.

    2006 Nissan Murano

    Very fine vehicle

    Pros: Road manners

    Cons: view to rear

Of the 20 to 30 vehicles I've owned over the years, the Murano is overall the best for my needs which include several long (multi-day) trips a year. My only quibble - and an annoying one - relates to terrible rear visability. This is something that styling has dictated, of course. Changing the shape of the 'triangular', rear, side windows so that they become larger can be done in a way that harmoniously blends with other body work, and will largely solve the problem, making the vehicle safer. The vehicle performs and hanndles very well, is really roomy and comfortable for four, and has more hauling capacity than one would think because of the wide space between wheel wells.

    2010 Nissan Rogue

We Drove 'Em All, But Kept Coming Back To The Rogu

    Pros: Performance, smooth ride.

Cons: No power seat, no automatic headlights.

By far, the smoothest riding of the smaller SUV's. Fit and finish are superb. Seats are incredibly comfortable. I've read comments about the whine of the transmission ... I find it inconsequential. Strong engine, nice amenities on the SL with Premium Package (CD changer, Smart Key, Bluetooth, 7 speaker Bose sound system, and more). Would have liked a power seat, but it's not available. Sharp looking inside and out. Excellent value, especially when compared to similar Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.
