    2007 Nissan Maxima - SE

    Pros: engine

    Cons: front end design

Advice: this is a car for drivers not passengers. It is a sports sedan.

This is my third maxima. I do not know what car the lady in the pervious comentary drove, but the Maxima has been rated in the top of its class for the past 12, yes 12 years. There is simply nothing out there that delivers this much driving exicitment for the buck. I bought my loaded 2008 SE with leather for 29K in Orlando florida.

    2002 Nissan Maxima - SE (M6)

    Pros: the engine performance

Cons: This car is not reliable to own and expensive to maintain.

    Advice: Avoid this car

I purchased this car brand new at the end of 2001. The car has excellent acceleration, very comfortable, and reasonable gas mileage. The model I purchased had the Bose CD changer audio system which had problems from the time I purchased it and the dealer would not replace it claiming there was nothing wrong with it. A couple months after the warranty expired, the Mass Airflow sensor went out. After researching the problem on the web, I discovered this was a common problem, but Nissan wouldn't cover even part of the $700 to fix the problem. As time went on, the car would experience other problems with the bearings and suspension. Now I am not an aggressive driver nor do I race the car around corners, so I have to assume one must drive this car gingerly. I have a hard time understanding why this car has so many problems before the first 10 years of ownership. My previous car, 1989 Acura Integra, that I purchased brand new that never had anything go wrong with it and only needed general maintenance (oil change\timing belt changes @70,000 miles, tires, etc). I never replaced the bearings or other engine parts during the first 5 years of ownership. I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone unless they don't mind having to pay for expensive repairs every year.

    2007 Nissan Maxima - SE

Pros: Steering wheel goes up when you shut off the care

    Cons: The entire car

    Advice: Buy a different car

The maxima is not a sedan, it is a car for teenagers. This cars rides worse then my truck on the highway it shakes like a bad fish can. This car was $35,000 dollars and marketed as a sedan. I drove a Pontiac sunfire for 10 years that drove better then this car. If you are considering a maxima, think no longer it is hands down the worse car I have ever driven. I would rather drive a bug. I tryed to return the car within 8 hours of buying it and was told by Foothill Nissan, sorry 'no cooling off period' I am not asking for my car back, I am asking for a car that rides nice on the road above 50 +55 MPH.

    2006 Nissan Maxima - SE (A5)

Pros: The power and design/look-Black exterior and black leather interior with 18'' chrome rims. It is SHARP!

Cons: I would say a lot of power for front wheel drive but you get used to it and control it better.

    Advice: Best car under $35,000

This car is very quick with the 265hp front wheel drive. It is very roomy and looks very sleek. It is a sports car with class.. I love my car.

    Pros: heated steering wheel

Cons: still likes to slurp gas

    Advice: none owned it twice

Excellent car. best b alance of its class and easily the most loaded with cool tech for the price not to mention performance. by the way this guy reviewing is wrong, material and build quality is only inferior to the vw passat but not by much. the interior beats the 300, tl, avalon.

    2007 Nissan Maxima - SL

Pros: It's speed especially when passing. Unlike older versions I noticed zero lagging. This baby takes off instantly..

Cons: Wish the interior was a touch bit wider.

Advice: Go for all the accessories

First thing I noticed was the quickness and speed. On the test drive I passed a vehicle and no lag like previous years. This baby is like a jack rabbit. Very stable feeling even at triple digit speeds (oops! that wasnt me!). The SL has a lot of great accessories that makes this car a nice one to drive. I especially like the ability to blue tooth my cell through the car for hands free use. The rear sonar detector is nice when back up in tight places. The keyless systems is GREAT. Took a bit to get used to it, but now I love it. Bose Radio makes for some fine audio. This car has tons of extras that really make it enjoyable to drive.
