    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GTS

    Pros: Body Style/Color, Performance

Cons: Plastic appointments on the interior

Advice: Definitely get the V-6 if you can afford it. It's worth the extra penny.

I bought the V-6, 5-speed GTS model, in Ultra Red Pearl. This is an awesome car... it handles well, and performs better than most others I looked at before purchasing this one. I am a big guy, and I feel a little cramped in the car from time to time, but other than that, I love it.

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GT

Pros: Perfect match of the 5 speed manual to the V6

Cons: Little headroom in the back seat

Advice: Be aware of lack of rear headroom in this car

I test drove both the GT and GTS versions. I enjoyed the sportmatic transmission in the GTS, but just fell in love with the 5 speed manual in the GT. As far as the match between the manual transmission and the V6 engine, it doesn't get much better at this price.

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GS

Pros: Leaving Honda Civics in my dust

    Cons: Plastic Trim

Advice: Dont buy on impulse shop around Try to get your own finance that puts you in a stronge position to bargin

I went into my Mitsubishi dealer to buy an suv,I came away with an Eclips GT,What the hell happend,I obviously test drove the car and loved it I particually liked the dash layout and the sports tronic gears (on the auto)Over all I guess Im pleased with the vehicle although I am a bit of a impulsive buyer I wish that i had shopped around because a few days later I saw my first Nissan 350Z wow now thats a sports car admitedly a few more bucks...but alot more bang,I gotta have one of these cars so much so im trading my eclips in for one..........The Eclips is a nice car for the money and apart from a few small things like the plastic being alittle on the cheap side it scuffs really eaisly,oh yeah and although the rear spoiler looks good you cant see a damn thing in your rear view....but apart from that i would have kept my Eclips for a few years.....But it aint no Z350

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GTS

    Pros: The acceleration

Cons: The black mirrors which are not color-coded

Advice: Buy if you want a fun to drive safe car that turns heads.

I own a 2003 GTS it is a five speed. I love my car. It is very quick and responsive. The sound system is great. This car is extremely fun to drive. I would strongly recommned looking into buying won of these jewels. This car is great in the snow due to the heavy V6 and front wheel drive as well as the 5 speed. I really have no complaints about the car. I had a faulty mirror and my local Mitsubishi dealer put one in for me with no trouble. This is the car to get if you want to drive something fun that will turn heads esp. the Soronno Red.

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GT

    Pros: The look

    Cons: no turbo

    Advice: aftermarket products please buy

Handling is above average.Test driving was actually pretty fun. With good torque,3rd gear is a little sluggish but overall top speed and acceleration is off the hook. What is really needed for this car is aftermarket products. To improve the above average handling your going to need adjustable shocks and struts as well as lowering springs. The lower the better because the weight of the car on cornering could get a little scary.Rear strut bars and lower rear bars is needed also to improve handling.Since there is no turbo in this GT model go for the supercharger and you'll be pissing on the competion after you burn em'.If you can find any way of lightening the weight of this 3150+ juggernaught do so,the light cars on the street right now are only getting faster.

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GS

    Pros: Noise/Handling

    Cons: Trunk Space

Advice: Go for it, you don;t get any better for your money.

At first glance, you would expect this vehicle to be stuck with a $30,000 price tag - list, but suprisingly, it doesn't take your breath away when they say 'Around $22,000). I really likes the extra headroom in this vehicle (over the standard eclipse)and for a 6'2' guy with long legs, this was a nice bonus. Dashboard is set out nice with all buttons within easy reach. The biggest thing I noticed about this car was the lack of road noise for a convertible. I've driven new sedans with more noise! I really enjoy this car, the insurance rate is great and you still get the looks (when it's clean!)
