    2002 Kia Sedona - EX

Pros: PRICE & LOOKS - Leather Seats.

Cons: No power sliding rear doors & or security system.

Advice: Forget the 'KIA' image - compare the features & the price!

I was amazed! I had looked at the GM, Ford, Dodge and Honda Min-Vans – and for the price and standard options available I was sold. We bought ours for about $1000 less than MSRP – it came with the optional side body molding, leather bucket seats, Anti-lock Breaks and Home Link (fancy garage door opener) plus all the standard features – electric rear window (pop-out), fog lights, rear heater, rear A/C controls, rear window defroster, front window & side mirror deicer, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, overhead lights (7), clock/trip computer, STORAGE, & CUPHOLDERS (everywhere) and MORE. A similar Windstar with all the extras to match would be almost $8,000 more. The only major item it doesn’t have is power rear doors. The 3.5 liter engine with the 5 Speed Automatic provide plenty of power thru all speeds. The standard options are amazing – the rear heating work great (hasn’t been hot enough to really test the A/C). The sound system (AM/FM/Cass/CD – 6 Speaker) is equally to many luxury car system – far better than some of the other mini-vans I looked at. The ride is very smooth and quite, engine noise is extremely quite. The seats are all very comfortable, and there is plenty of leg room – the rear seat are a little difficult to get to with the optional bucket seat in the middle and the head room is a little close for adults, but the kids have no problem. I was told when I bought it that it was design to get a five star rating from the government, but that it had not been tested yet. Since then it has been tested and did receive the five star rating, so if safety is a concern this is the van for you – unfortunately the extra weight does reduce the gas mileage, we are getting around 18 during normally driving (better than the 15 they said). If you are looking for a min-van – make sure to check this one out!

    2002 Kia Sedona - EX

    Pros: Rear air

Cons: The rear seats aren't stowable within the van.

Advice: Compare value to similar models!

The van is reasonably priced with all of its options. The model we drove had leather interior, sunroof, two tone body molding etc. The van comes equipped with 8-way driver seat and 4-way passenger seat auto. Rear air/with vent over every seat. The rear vent windows are elec as well as everything else[except the two side doors:(] The van has plenty of leg room, front and back. I was amazed at how quiet it was inside. Roadnoise is minimal and the engine is undetectable. This is really an amazing vehicle. Honda Odyssey minus the stowable rear seats, but $10,000 less.

    2002 Toyota Sienna - CE

    Pros: The tinted windows.

    Cons: The third row seating.

Advice: I suggest you get the most expensive the XLE because the minivan would be alot better if you had leather and more options than the CE.

I like the Sienna very much, but it also has many bad qualities. The steering is alittle rough and the third row seating is very hard to get into. However, the minivan drives very smoothly and and the quality of the car is just amazing.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - EX FWD

Pros: automatic doors-both sliding and rear hatch

    Cons: nothing

Advice: They don't deal as well on the EX, but you get more features for the price.

I had a 97 Grand Caravan Sport and traded it for a Suburban. We thought we wanted an SUV. I missed my van. I just bought a new EX in stone white. It is beautiful. Many new features than my 97. I'll never let go of my mini van again. My boys are 3 and 18 mos. and this is the best vehicle for kids!

    2002 Honda Odyssey - LX

    Pros: power and handling

Cons: i would like brighter reversing lights

    Advice: go for it

we got the lx with leather and dvd. we love it best car I ever owned we traded a 2001 odyssey lx and I loved that. But the new one has more power, 5 speed auto,4 wheel disc brakes, side air bags, better sound system, the dvd works great, overall worth every penny of the $30,000 best of all the trade in value on the 2001 odyssey was great
