2002 Nissan Quest - GLE
Pros: Memory seating best thing ever invented
Cons: color options to few
Advice: buy for your needs not the salesmens selling points if its not right look aroundMy wife is disabled, and for her to like the ease of operating this minivan says alot. It was not modified for her in any way.
2002 Ford Windstar - LX Base (110A)
Pros: Back seat radio option
Cons: frequent repairs needed, endless recalls
Advice: don't buydrive is not smooth.
2002 Kia Sedona - EX
Pros: warranty, quadruple 5 star safety
Cons: lacks some cargo room, seats in back are confusing as how to flip up and remove
Advice: Go to the lot, look in the window, say 'wow', then look at the sticker on the window, then look back in the window to see if your eyes were misleading youLow road noise, quiet engine. No shifting in and out of 4th and 5th gear with minor adjustments in road speed, which initially I was concerned about with the the only 5 speed automatic trans in the class. Could only afford used until we found the sedona. quadruple 5 star safety. Kids like the sun roof. Sound system in the EX is better than the the upgrades in most the other vans I drove. I am 6'5' and sat in the back seat and had plenty of room. it was very comfortable. my friend is 6'4' and said it would be his second choice to shotgun, But don't plan on grocery shopping with us in there because with the seat all the way back and leaned back you won't fit much in the cargo area. But it is nice to know that seven people will be riding in comfort and luxury if just going out on the town. No rebates currently, but got into the van at 400 over invoice. Test drove, bought the van in less than two hours after shopping for months. Nervous about it being a new model, but 5yr/60000, 10yr/100000 makes me feel better. 5000-8000 less than similarly equipped (all others).
2002 Ford Windstar - LX Base (110A)
Pros: the dimming lights.
Cons: i do not have keyless entry.
Advice: Get keyless entry.I enjoy driving my new van.I like the rear ac,for the kids and guests to stay cool.I like the comfort level it has all sorts of neat extras that came with it. The only thing i wish we would have gotten and recomend anyone buying one get, is the keyless entry. The doors lock when you get in and go to drive so you have to unlock. They also do not have a lock in the passenger rear doors so you have to unlock the front always to get to the back and this is troublesome sometimes putting three babies into the vehicle.Which they always go first. I love the extra lighter plugs for my cell phone and tv for babies in the back.(our own not included when we bought it). I like the tire pressure check switch and love the sleeping baby lights mode. I love that the rear seats fold for use even when towing kiddos. Overall I think it was a good buy i just wish i would have asked for more.
2002 Chrysler Town and Country - LX FWD
Advice: Best betWow!! What a minivan. Great comfort, ride and handling.
2002 Toyota Sienna - XLE
Pros: Smooth ride
Cons: Third row seating is difficult to get in and out of
Advice: Buy XLE model with traction control. Get invoice pricing before you see dealerOverall the Sienna delivered an excellent ride. Punch the accelerator and it takes off. It handled well and has a soft suspension which gave a smooth ride. Excellent visibility all around. Comfortable and easy to get in and out of seating except third row seats. Getting in and out of third row is a chore. Interior is roomy and controls are well laid out. Overall an excellent choice for a mini van
2002 Kia Sedona - LX
Pros: all those glove boxes and compartments
Cons: cheep cheesy door handles and gas tank cover
Advice: go for it it rides great!so good I bought it But my sliding door was defected and the dealership repair guy said he saw it in a few other sedonas
