Pros: radio controls on the steering wheel.
Cons: cup holders between the middle seats.
Advice: quad seating is the easiest for back row seating access. Manually adjustable seats are easier to adjust then the 6 way seating. This is our second Pontiac Montana, having traded in 2000 for our current 2002. This was and in our opinion still is the only minivan on the market that feels like you are driving a car instead of a van. It doesn't look like a traditional 'kid' vehicle, has a sporty exterior, but a family friendly interior.
Pros: The build quality is fantastic, this is our second Sienna
Cons: The sound system is still weak, even with the JBL set-up
Advice: Sienna will be redesigned in May, '03; to be larger; I still like the '02This is our 2nd Sienna. We had a 99 XLE and loved it. The styling is smoother and the quality is superb. The seats are wide and comfortable, and the step-in height seems lower than the T&C. The engine is strong and smooth. We went with the Symphony model and also got the factory video system. The exact system on the web site is only available from the factory, so be wary of substitutes. The power door(s) are a must, and the captains chairs work best with the kids. My only wish is that they'd upgrade the brakes. Rear drums make for a mushy feel. They are dealing on this car (unlike the snobby Honda dealers).
Pros: Safety and the convience of the back seat.
Cons: No sunroof
Advice: Go for itI have been waiting to buy a mini-van; I waited on the leather seats and now I am waiting on one with a sun roof. Any chance of that happening any time soon? The Odyssey is my choice by far.
Pros: POWER,NICE STAPLITY, HANDLING,COMFORT
Cons: POWER ,HANDLING, GOOD FEATURES
Advice: CHECK OUT THE 2002 MPV BEFORE YOU BUY ANY VAN2002 mazda MPVES is one of the best van out their today. I shoped for yearandhalf then i made my desion. It has more power then last year v6 (200). remote control doors. ABS breaks traction control, rear ac heat. Most thing l liked about MPV is it's optispace desing. Also nice grip on the ground when you make turn. I JUST SAY THAT BEFORE YOU BUY VAN CHECK THE MPVES.
Pros: Abundant safety features
Cons: Rear seat is heavy if you want to remove it.
Advice: If you love your family and yourself, buy this for all of you !!!!!!It is really comfortable, very quiet and smooth. Freeway driving is a joy. The seats are great and it feels solid and safe on the road. With the 5 star crash rating, side airbags, adjustable pedals, lights on the mirrors to warn othes when doors open and and and.....yhe list of safety features goes on and on.
Pros: Seating Flexibility
Advice: EX models go quickly - be prepared to buy when you test drive. An amazing value. Sedona is comfortable, performs well, and costs $5-8K less than closest competitors that aren't as well equipped. We put 15,000 miles on it in six months and like it more now than when we first test drove it.
Pros: Interior seating layout -- front buckets, 2 seat bench, 3 seat bench.
Cons: The side armrests on the driver seat.
Advice: Check out the amount of luggage storage you need. In my model the rear seat can be moved to the middle position to create a larger cargo area. Salesman didn't know about that. After 1,000 miles I like everything about this minivan. Very quiet ride, handles easily, the kids love it, and the controls are all well thought out. I never had a car with a keyless entry before but it is a real convenience too. It has great headroom (I'm 6'-5') but it also fits my 5'-3' wife. So far it is averaging 20 mpg with a combination of short commute city driving and highway miles. With my past vehicles I have had much better luck with Ford than Honda in terms of quality, maintenance, and cost. This is what steered me to the Windstar.
