Pros: The 18' wheels & body design which allow the driver to sit up nearly as high as the cross-over vehicles.
Cons: We can't find one negative thing about the Montego.
Advice: Don't hesitate--if you want the comfort of a sedan, the room of a cross-over vehicle, and the gas mileage of a small car, get a Montego!Mercury really outdid themselves this time! The 2005 Montego met and exceeded all our expectations. The ride is smooth, the steering extremely responsive, and the handling superb. We were concerned that the 6 cyl. engine might have a problem with the mountains here in Arizona. But the Montego handles mountain grades with ease. We would highly recommend this awesome car to anyone.
Pros: Heated seating
Cons: Position of rear view mirror. (very close to the roof).
Advice: Great ValueVery nice handeling & very responsive throttle for a family sedan. The ride is very smooth in the city & a dream on the highway. Priced OK with the many standard features offered. Gas mileage is good (About 24 city & 27 hwy). I don't expect to obtain the 29 MPG's on the hwy as the sticker quotes.
Pros: Adjustable pedals
Cons: trunk lid doesn't open all the way up when you hit the trunk release
Advice: BUY IT!!I bought a new Montego thiw week. WOW!! what a car comfortable seats great quiet ride. A lot of bells and whistles come standard with this car. Seat warmers, seats and mirror memory for two drivers, keyless entry, I could go on and on. Take it for a test drive if you get a chance, it's a great car
