    2005 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - Base

    Pros: Engine power

Cons: Certain parts are not Mercedes quality - ceiling, dash board

Advice: Its an excellent SUV, but it is not a true Mercedes

Plenty of horsepower, and excellent handling, especially on wet surface. The seats are very comfortable. The vehicle size is just right, not too large and not too small. However, the engine is very thirsty, especially in city driving. I am averaging about 12 to 14 in city, but pretty good on highway at 18 to 20 MPG.

    2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - Base

    Pros: Excellent visibility

Cons: The radio control knob is placed in an inconvenient location

Advice: Bargain with the dealers! They are flexible on the pricing.

I have only had this car for three weeks, but so far I am extremely satisfied. It does drive like a truck, even though it still feels smooth and handles well.

    2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - Base

    Pros: Torque

Cons: Paying a premium for upgrades and the upgrades are cheap.

Advice: Shop. drive the X5, Lexus GX470 and the Volvo. I did and I was sold on the 350

I had the X5 before the E350. I was not really impressed on the looks of the 350 but when I put the sport package on it, it really dressed it up. The X5 was fun to drive but I was usually driving it to the dealer for repairs. The 350 is faster, smoother and all together a better vehicle at a better price. The little things I have had go wrong with the car have been corrected very quickly. The one big downfall of Mercedes is their 'convienence package.' I paid well over 1K for it and the appointements are VERY cheap. No actual memory seat at the push of a button like a car 1/2 the price. The informaiton center at the heads up display are really cheap looking.
