    2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class - Base

I love this car. Mine is silver colored, inside is dark grey leather and the dashboard has wooden panelling. It's sheer elegance. The driving comfort is superb, the automatic gear is superb, even in the mountains it reacts fast. There are two downsides: it has rear wheel drive, which is not ideal in snowy Switzerland, even with winter tires it skids on slush. And it does have its little issues from time to time - something I had not expected from Mercedez-Benz.

    2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

    Owned longer than another

Pros: Reliability and tremendous good looks

Cons: That I am trading it in for an SUV

A tremendous car. Only one small repair in eight years (to the a/c controller). Amazing ride and quiteness - especially for a convertible. Have received more compliments on this car than any other I have owned in fifty years.

    2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

    2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK 350

    Pros: the style

Cons: the cruise control set up - I often hit the cruise control instead of my turn signal.

I love my car! I bought it new in 2007, and I have put 20,000 miles on it. I love the way it drives, I enjoy the ease of the convertible hard top operation, and I especially like the gas mileage. It gets about 20 miles per gallon in town and 30 on the highway (cruising at about 60 -65 miles per hour). It is also relatively simple to operate. So far, I have had no mechanical issues. We'll see what happens when the warranty runs out.

    2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

    E550 Convertible (382hp)

    Pros: drivability in 'sport' mode

Cons: doors open too wide & there's no 1/2 way detent to stop full swing

With roof closed, car is very quiet at highway speeds. Good performer. Good trunk size for this segment. Roof operation could be quicker & backseat wind deflector should disappear when roof closed. It obstructs rearward vision.

    2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

    Best vehicle ever

Pros: Overall ride and handling -- and its a great looker also.

Cons: power window button for the driver's side window is awkward to access

Have owned BMW M3 for nine years -- but this M-B is tops in my book. It cruises the highway at 2000 rpm (doing 77 mph) and still has the torque to get up and go higher from there. The ride is firm and reassuring. I'm disappointed that M-B has discontinued making the CLK.
