2003 Mazda MPV - LX
Cons: There is nothing that I do not like
Advice: BUY MAZDA you will not be disappointed. This is the 5th mazda I own. Nothing else can compare to mazda for performance, ride, comfort, appearance, warranty, style, quality, & service.
2003 Mazda MPV - ES
Cons: Position of tilt wheel lever
Advice: Go for itExtremely maneuverable
2005 Mazda MPV - ES
Pros: outside appearance looks more suv than van
Cons: leg room is terrible!
Advice: Check out leg room make sure you can live with it, Radio reception, depreciates alot nothing like a honda. After having this van a year I would love to trade in. Have had problems with radio reception (dealership says no problem), Transmission ( dealership had to reset takes 3hrs), egg odor smell (have to watch gas u put in it!) LEG ROOM IN second and 3rd row, my dad can not get in and fit and he is a regular size guy. IF kids are the only ones back there your ok. Had problems with driver electric seat back and forth was rough! dealership says he will only replace it 1 time! The seats are very expensive! This made me mad! If its under warranty whats up with a comment like that! Needless to say this van was the one in the showroom when we purchased so who knows how much that feature was playd with and how long it sat in there before we purchased! The value of it drops to fast for what you pay for it and what u get! Going back to a honda when 2006 comes out!
2005 Mazda MPV - LX
Pros: Roll down windows on sliding doors.
Cons: No side curtain airbags.
Advice: Test drive it and compare to the big boys Toyota and Honda--you'll buy the MPV!Drives very well, responsive, quiet, easy. A pleasure to own. Roomier than it appears. Many features, all included.
2002 Mazda MPV - LX
Pros: the design of the van- its get-up-and-go
Cons: could use a little more front seat strorage
Advice: give it a test drivehandles extremely well with great acceleration- zoom-zoom
2004 Mazda MPV - LX
Pros: The exterior styling
Cons: Everything else about the van
Advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS VAN... nothing but problemsI purchased this Van hoping to prove all the critics wrong inregards to the Mazda and Ford merger. Unfortunately, instead of proving them wrong I proved myself wrong. This van has been nothing but problems! The 'WORLD ENGINE' which the Mazda salesperson spoke so highly about, consistely makes knocking noises, lags in power while trying to accelerate, and has trouble starting in the winter. Mind you I do live in Canada.. but a new car should not have any of these issues.
2003 Mazda MPV - LX
Pros: sporty look, fairly priced, visibility
Cons: gearshift, becoming a tad small
Advice: shop around. Caution with recent consumer report on the MPVExcellent handling...looks sporty...What's with the gearshift? It is right in the way of dashboard controls. Otherwise it has been a capable vehicle. It is becoming a bit cramped now that our kids are getting bigger. Overall, we are pleased.
