    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Base (200A)

    Pros: Engine and Ride

    Cons: Plastic Dash

Advice: This is a great car and with the deals out there now, it cannot be beaten

With the 8 and sports package this car drives as well as the Mercedes E 420. Is still new and hope it lasts.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Base (200A)

Pros: Exterior styling - it is a gorgeous car.

    Cons: Visibility could be better.

    Advice: Test drive the V8.

Compared to my Honda and the Acura TLs I test drove, this car is very bouncy. Despite that, it holds the road beautifully and is fun to drive. Definitely get the sport (or higher) package and don't even look at the V6. You need the V8 to move this weight. Overall the cabin is very spacious and nicely decorated. The Alpine sound system is excellent. Everything in within reach and I find the storage space quite adequate. The windshield is not designed as 'wide' as it could have been and you get a terrible reflection on the dash during mid-day driving. If you are going to do primarily highway driving, this car is wonderful, but the brakes are too soft for lots of stop and go driving. It's also not as quiet as it could be.

    2003 Lincoln Navigator - Luxury (200A) 4x4

Pros: Great ride and engine performance

Cons: No cargo space with third row seat

Advice: Dont get the third row seat

The ride is great (with the air suspension system). The engine is powerful enough to outrun many cars on the road today while still being very quiet for its size. I've had very few minor mechanical issues with it, and no major problems at all. The car looks great, and attracts attention from other people. However, if you opt for the third row seat you'll be disappointed at the amount of cargo room left, none, so don't get the third row seat unless you'll be having more than four passengers at one time.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Base (200A)

    Pros: The handling & styling

    Cons: In-vehicle Storge is lacking

Advice: Get either the V8 Automatic or the V6 manual

My wife and I test drove the BMW 3Series, the Volvo S60 and a couple other midrange luxury sedans....none came close the the Lincoln LS. The aceleration, handling, braking and ride are all top shelf...it is the best car we have ever had.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V6 Auto Base (100A)

    Pros: Ride, power

    Cons: TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS!!!!

Advice: Dont be mistaken, it's still American. Expect problems in the long run.

I drove the Lexus ES, BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes C-Class. The LS felt and drove the best off all the cars I test drove. I now have 49,800 miles and the transmission just blew out. The dealer refuses to give me a loaner car for the week(s) that it is in the shop. I called Ford and was basically told 'sorry, we will file a complaint-but don't expect a call back' I am very unhappy with this car.

    2002 Lincoln Town Car - Cartier (300A)

Pros: Adjustable Brake pedal and gas pedal

    Cons: The almost unreadable Speedometer

    Advice: Bargain intensly

This Town Car is as good if not better than those I have had before. I like the comfort and the overall looks of this car, but I do think the Soeedometer could be better and easier to read,

    2002 Lincoln Continental - Base (100A)

    Pros: Power.

    Cons: Quality & content

Advice: Check with your Lexus dealer, as I will next time I buy.

This is a heavy car and it feels like it. Acceleration is good. Comfort is good. Mileage is only fair and it requires premium fuel. Some features considered standard on a mid-priced car are missing on the Continental, e.g., no cargo net in trunk, no underhood light, no dual zone HVAC controls. Quality leaves a lot to be desired. Service is not what one expects in a luxury car; you might as well be driving an Escort when you pull into the Lincoln service dept.
