    2004 Lexus SC 430

    luxury at its finest

    Pros: retractable hardtop convertible

    Cons: retractable hardtop

gets an A on all things, luxurous interior, great stereo, all features are awsome. I do find the GPS hard to understand how to operate it.

    2003 Lexus SC 430

    Long Term Review - SC430

    Pros: Bullet-proof reliability

    Cons: Seating and performance

Wanted a 'sports coupe with some luxury'. It delivered somewhat on the luxury, but 'sport' is nowhere to be found in the SC430. Floaty suspension, numb handling, terrible throttle response, and quite possibly the worst seats offered by a premium make. Rear seat should be removed - really only a package shelf. Anemic engine output for such a heavy car. Overall, a reliable but unfulfilling ride.

    2006 Lexus GS 430 - Base

Pros: The quality of the ride. Never driven so smooth before.

Cons: Not being able to keep the car

Advice: If you can afford it buy it, but its not cheap

My mom recently purchased this new lexus. ive driven the 98 GS 400 for a couple years but its not quite like the 06. An incredibly smooth ride. I've read some reviews saying that the GS 300 isnt fast enough... im not sure ive never driven one but i can tell you that the 430 is like a rocket. Never driven a better car in my life, and ive driven many high-end luxury vehicles, many of which were more expensive then a new GS 430

    2002 Lexus IS 300 - Auto Sedan

Pros: Auto leveling Xenon headlights (says high-end)

    Cons: No subwoofer with sounds

Advice: Very dependable car with great gas mileage!

The Lexus IS300 is the only performance sport sedan Under $45K,that also gets over 20MPG city!! Don't get me wrong there are more powerful 'meaner' sedans out there. But as far as the whole package goes the IS300 takes the cake. Don't be fooled by its 6cyl. mask. A simple push of the trac button to off and you'll find yourself chasing the back-end out of a turn. Interior seats could be a bit more comfortable but do have good lateral support. Cockpit is equipped with all of the modern wants and needs. (depending on the pkg. selected) Looks more than anything on the car demand respect. Lexus chose the 'less is more' cliche which suits this sport sedan to the T and forced other manufactures to strictly follow suit.

    2006 Lexus IS 350 - Base

Pros: DVD Nav + Backview camera.

Cons: Rattles. Small room in backseat and trunk.

Advice: Good car if you seldom have people in backseat, and the 18 inch wheels can feel harsh especially with sports package.

The car is fun to drive, nice to look at, and comes with almost everything that I could think of. And then there are the rattles. Because the cabin was built to be very quiet, every little squeak and rattle becomes much more noticible. I have already taken it back to dealer for evaluation twice, and yet the rattles keep popping up, literally. I hope that my situation is not the norm, because I have driven other Lexus vehicles, including the 03 RX330, 06 RX350, and the 06 GS300, and they were all very quiet vehicles. Aside from the noises here and there, other inconveniences have already been well pointed out: the lack of legroom in the back seat, the awkward position for the power outlet in the center console, and the inability to disable VDIM, etc. The one I purchased came with sports package and 18 inch wheels, which I think may have contributed to the seemingly non-stop rattles, as the suspension is harder than on the luxury package. Overall I am satisfied with the car, just wish the noises can be isolated and corrected by Lexus tech soon.
