    2007 Lexus RX 350 - FWD

    Pros: The Lexus quality.

    Cons: Not having ipod connection.

Advice: The new engine performance has to be experienced to appreciate. By all means test drive one.

Tight, quiet, responsive, peppy, comfortable and stylish. I couldn't ask for anything more. All this coupled with the Lexus excellent reliability factor makes it a winner in all respects to me. The new 350cc engine is most impressive in that it simultaneously improved performance AND fuel mileage over the previous 330cc version.

    2007 Lexus RX 350 - AWD

    Pros: Smooth riding

Cons: More passing power would be great.

    Advice: Buy one

I have owned my RX 350 for almost 2 month and just returned from a 1600 mile trip with my wife. We love the smooth and quiet riding and audio sound from the 6 disc mp3 cd changer. The voice command navigation is a plus and very helpful. Gas mileage is slightly below 24 mile/gallon on highway. Passing power is weak for a 270 horsepower vehicle but it is OK for me.

    2006 Lexus RX 400h - FWD

    Pros: quite smooth perfromance

Cons: have no complaints. Accept 25mpg as best in SUVs.

Advice: benefits good but not cost effective - if money is a big issue buy the RX350.

This car has been great. One negative is 25mpg in town and 25mpg on the highway in winter and 24.5 for both in the summer heat with full airconditioning load. Sticker days 28mpg in city and more on highway which is wrong. I knew it would get only 25mpg before purchase but other SUVs would get only 13mpg to 19mpg in town so I am still better off with 25mpg. Performance is excellent for 4100 lb car with 0 to 60 of 7.5 seconds advertised and when I timed it I got 7.2 seconds. Penalty mostly for bad aerodynamics with negligible vehicle weight penalty when at constant speed in other SUVs is approximately 10mpg when compared to typical four door sedans.

    2007 Lexus RX 350 - AWD

Pros: The navigation system with my cellphone connected by Bluetooth

Cons: The color my wife picked out

Advice: Don't think you can't negotiate

The gas pedal in the RX-350 seems to be a bit touchy when you first start driving but once you get used to it all is very smooth. With 270 HP, push down a bit too much and you launch yourself with lots of power. The navigation system with bluetooth is probably the most challenging to learn but we found if you just start playing with it you will eventually learn. Whatever is left that baffles you can be found in the owners manual. This vehicle is very comfortable (I'm 6' 4' tall) and I have no problems finding a setting that suits me. The HID headlights seem a little weird at first because when you turn them on they kinda search around a second or two and then settle down where they're supposed to be. It's really an excellent vehicle and we love it. It is so quiet and solid on the road we find ourselves unintentionally speeding. The dealer might tell you they can't negotiate because the car is in such demand but shop around. I bought mine in Colorado Springs at a lower price after telling them I could get it $2000 cheaper in Albuquerque (which I could have). They came close enough to where it wasn't worth it to drive that distance. I highly recommend it if your looking for a very comfortable car with lots of features, and POWER.

    2004 Lexus RX 330 - AWD

    Pros: look

    Cons: poor paint quality

    Advice: don't buy one.

Drove the car for one week, and scratches all over. Not driven in rain or snow--'the wind causes scratches'. I will never buy a Lexus again. Paint is defective, and Lexus does not want to admit it.

    2004 Lexus RX 330 - FWD

Pros: The shape of the SUV.

Cons: The shell of the SUV, poor craftmanship.

Advice: Buy another car, it's not worth the price.

The vehicle is noisy on the highway, the sunroof rattles and the transmission is very poor. I have found myself sitting in the middle of the road because it decided to stop right there and not restart. The plastic shell has the poorest paint job, resulting in multiple chips in the body work. You can use a cardboard to cut right through the paint. The windshield washer dispenser freezes in cold weather. It scared me stiff once when I found myself on the highway with nothing to clean salt water splashes of passing motorists off my windshield. I had to feel my way to my destination even though I was in a warm car.

    2004 Lexus RX 330 - FWD

    Pros: I cant recall one

Cons: The quaility of the vehicle and construction materials

Advice: To drive a Volvo XC90 and pull them side by side and do your own comparison! BMW make great cars but they do not have the SUV figured out yet, its been a long time too.

It shows that Lexus has taken a turn towards their beginning in the USA, they are having us pay for their poor economy with inferior workmanship and lower quaility product. The Lexus RX330 is placed on a Camary frame with flashy interior wood inlays and just plain poor quality over the life of the car. Its body, frame and parts are not rugged and sturdy (look under the vehicle for yourself) Driving it allowed allot of exterior road noise into the vehicle. I am at 6000 feet of altitude and the motor had to stain with high RPMS to accomplish a hill. First impreesion is flashy but look beyond, I talked with several mechanics and just to do a brake job will cost you $1,200.00 (non dealer) every 20k to 25k. Its not a Lexus that we all know! Bottom line the vehicle is worth about 27K not 41K ! It a glorified Camary with a bug shell.
